I totally agree with you. I take the test in 8 days and I am no where I want to be. I am good on Corporate Governance and Infromation Systems. It's the rest give me pause.

Despite it's reputation, I thought BEC was a beast. Took me a lot of time to nail down a stategy for the cost questions. I did all the questions in Gleim the week before the test and had practiced about a month before that. I passed with a decent score, but did not feel confident walking out of the test center. Glad that one's over for sure.
Do you guys recommend keep working on MCQ or should I take time to practice the writing? This is very different than FAR and other section where you actually need practice. I have done a few on Corporate governance and understand the idea but I just can't type out the 3-4 paragraph like Becker does. What should I focus on? Thanks for the input.
Think about the WC when you write something at work. Think about form, content and structure. Be concise and to the point. Repeat the question. Address the items you are told to in the instructions. Write a good summary statement with a closing. Then move onto the next one. Leave about 50 minutes for the wc's depending on whether you are a slow starter. Mcqs will be tough but not as in depth as review – you have to know the concepts to answer them timely. Good luck. I hated bec and there was no way i was going to have to suffer through a retake. Ask for a handheld calculator. The online wastes time i think unless you need the tape.

Thanks Monikernc, I always find the hand held ones better. I even pulled out my old calculator from sophomore year lol been a while! I didnt know they provided them so.. thanks for letting me know. As to the WC I did do a couple on Becker and I just can't seem to go pass over 5 sentences. But I guess that doesn't include an intro and ending, was being lazy to see if I understood the concept. Yes, the MCQ sucks even becker is horrendous. So many formulas and calculations in one problem.
I dont think I am a terrible writer since I have taken many classes that requires essays in college. All in all, Thanks for the tip.
Spartans92, yeah I'm getting better but I was never any good at finance so the financial management questions are killing me. Luckily cost accounting and I are real good friends so I don't have much problem with that.
How much time does anyone recommend for BEC while working full time? Right now I'm trying to do a chapter a week (becker). I'll do six weeks of studying (1 per chap) then a 2 week review. Is that too long to study for this test?
JLP, that is how I set up my studying time too. I am starting chapter 4 this week and I am finding it hard to remember things from Chapter 1. I think that for the next test I will do two chapters per week and 2 weeks for review as suggested by Becker. Since your test is already scheduled, you can continue with your original plan of 1 chapter per week. If I could go back, I would have done chapter 1 then 4-6 and left 2&3 for last because they have the most formulas. Just my 2 cents
