Why do i feel like BEC is much harder than FAR and AUD at this point. I am through 400 MCQ and trending a 68% and i only have 10 days left.
FAR - Passed 4/2016
AUD - Passed 11/2015
REG - ?
BEC - 05/28/2016

I have to take the BEC exam 11am tomorrow. I signed up for the RogerCPA review course. I'm getting 78% of my MCQ right. But, it takes me anywhere between 3 to 8 minutes per question and i've been studying BEC 3 to 4 hours every night for 3 months!! This is the first test I'm taking. I'm 42 now, graduated in 1996. Everyone told me to take BEC first to build my confidence because my 20+ years of experience would help the most with BEC. My confidence is NO where near where it should be, though. In fact, I'm already convinced I'm going to fail. I know I shouldn't go into the exam with a pessimistic attitude right off the bat. But, I'm just not doing well.
Anyone in this forum ever been in a position where they understood most of the material, but they needed a lot of time to practice their speed?
Also, anyone on here ever need more than 3 years to study, understand, and get fast enough with answering these questions before passing?May 17, 2016 at 7:04 pm #776823kyle.brownParticipantThanks everyone it is very helpful to talk to others who are going through this same struggle

I have decided to skip Chapter 3 lectures and homework. Chapter 4-6 do not look bad at all. I will probably get those out of the way in the next week and a half. That will give me a whole week to work on Chapter 3 and another week to study the formulas. I will then purchase Ninja MCQ and work on them until test day.

AUD-Nov/Dec 2016May 18, 2016 at 12:49 pm #776827PeteParticipantI'm thinking the actual test will be boat-loads easier.
I think BEC per Becker/Ninja is far more difficult compared to the actual test, relative to the other sections. I easily spent 5+ hours on some sections doing the word problems; there is no way in hell, the actual exam can be that long. If the actual test were in-fact that long, nobody would finish the exam. Because the prep software is so much more difficult, relative to the actual exam (I hope), people find this section the easiest.
On the other hand, the difference between Becker/Ninja and the actual exam is much closer (ie. Becker/Ninja is NOT significantly more difficult, like it is with BEC).
Granted I do not own Ninja, so I can't attest to its difficulty.

I just started my review (using Ninja) and already getting crushed on the Economics section with 50's and 60's. I don't even remember some of this stuff being mentioned in Roger. I'm scared to see what's gonna happen once I start Cost Accounting.

One hand is the demand curve, the other is the supply curve. Then i move them to see the effects of doing XYZ. I just hope they don't thing i'm signalling a gang-strike on the actual exam, when i do that.

I would say that the exam is much more straightforward. heavily tested on COSO and be wary of the wording. I had to stop and think and see what they were trying to trick me with.
I feel better after taking my exam on monday. I realized that the MCQ is weighted 85%. I am hoping I did well enough to get close to 75 and score freebie points on the WC to pass. June 9th cant come soon enough.

I am not good at memorization, I feel like I am going to squeeze by 🙁 I studied so much and was hoping that I can kill it. One of the praters said that it is the easiest one for him.

I'd honestly rather be studying for FAR again. This material is so random and it's on stuff I haven't studied since my first undergrad over 10 years ago.
