Why should someone do the work to pass the CPA Exam if the world is going to poop anyway?

“Because it beats about 85-90% of the alternative ways to spend your time, unless you're wealthy and have no need to work.”

    I agree. Thanks.

“Uh, so I can buy toys and booze.”

Sober dude here. Only toy I care about is a cheap PC with internet and I already got one.

“So your business cards look better than the majority of other people you will meet.”

Kind of goes with mla's point too. Both make sense. Thanks for the help cpaples.

@leshiggitydonatello: Passing the CPA does not mean you won't have to shovel ANY poop. Just dealing with less of it. The economy is still stuck in a depression, and me passing 2 certifications + a nice resume does not get me a job. The macroeconomics of the nation stomp on my microeconomics.

Sorry for your situation bob. I thought I read you insist on working in Chicago or Illinois in another thread. Maybe that has something to due it. Good luck.

@leshiggitydonatello Yeah, the job market in Chicago is horrible, gotta move away. First I need to find a place elsewhere.

Yeah, Chicago job market is horrible. But why do you think it's better anywhere else?

Well, I know it's bad everywhere. But I hear it's worse in places like SHY-town.

Craigslist has a lot of apartment/rentals fyi.

Between the world going to poop and accountants being pegged as number crunchers, the world going to poop isn't all that bad for accountants, because poop is a number.

    Number 2. Get it?
