    Hey everyone!

I just took FAR for the second time and I’ve started studying for BEC (hopefully my last exam). Ever since I started the quest to become a CPA, I’ve found myself starting sentences with…

“When I’m done with the exams, …”

Me, myself, I plan on taking lessons in ballroom dancing and competiting, also starting a youtube cooking show with my husband, and picking up sewing! Although I am in accounting, I’m really into the arts. I need the hours I’ve used for studying to fulfill my artistic side, before I go crazy!

What about ya’ll? What are your plans with your free time after you pass (and you will!)

Go to the movies, read a book for fun, train for a half-marathon . . . stay up late playing video games . . . sleep in!

This thread never gets old. The main thing I am looking forward to is spending time with my loved ones. A neglected fiance, friends that wouldn't even recognize me and my family that might as well live in another state. I can't wait to place priority on the truly important things!!!

Then, obviously there are the little things:

    1. Listen to music

    2. Watch TV

    3. Read books

    4. Cook dinner

    And the BIG things:

    1. Plan my wedding, which I have been totally slacking on. It's in 10 weeks!

    2. Get back in shape. Run, lift, etc

    3. Deep clean the house and get organized.

    4. Buy a house!

    BEC 81
    AUD 76
    FAR 70, 76
    REG 58, 78! DONE!

"I am not my intentions. I am my actions."

@CPAYE: I'm rooting for you!! You're so close!!

@abacus: omg your post is giving me awful flashbacks to last summer when I was planning my wedding and studying for exams…so stressful…especially because my wedding was being held across the country in my hometown of San Diego. It's so hard to balance the planning of a wedding and getting in enough study time. Wishing you the best as your big day approaches!

And buying a house is on my list as well. This may sound bad, but I want to take advantage of the downfall of the economy and buy a house before the market turns around too mucn. My husband and I are almost 24 so we don't really have that much saved up for a house…I'm thinking FHA loan is our only shot at getting a home in the near future.

It's crazy how these exams put MAJOR life goals at a stand still until completion

    2. Read anything other CPA/accounting related books, magazine, or forums.

    3. Relax a little..

I am 44 and have absolutely no experience at all in accounting or anything related. Done reading the books, done with the tv shows and movies, done relaxing. This is the next chapter of my life.

I'll be taking computer classes at a community college and hopefully an internship with a CPA. I have no idea how I'll get a job.

Since there is no one around me for guidance in this area, I guess I'll be coming to this forum for advise!!!!

Age doesn't make a man, experience does. I'm a kid in the accounting field. Lol

I will be taking several well-deserved trips to visit friends around the US. Reward myself for graduating with my Masters in December and hopefully finishing up with these exams in May.

Once I'm completely finished, I'd like to learn a few languages. I want to brush up on my French from high school and then maybe venture into Italian. I want to do a ton of traveling too! I am taking a trip to Rome after my next exam which I'm excited for!

Between exams, I just look forward to sleeping and baking. Watching mindless Big Bang Theory reruns. I'd also like to find time to hit the gym.

    F - *76*(08/'13)-Becker & NINJA - "server upgrade" survivor
    B - 60('11); *82*(10/'13) -Becker & NINA

    DONE, DONE, AND DONE.

I'd like to take some skydiving classes then visit different dropzones around the world! Losing the 25+ pounds I've gained would be nice too lol

I have SO many TV shows that I had to stop watching 3 years ago to work on my Master's and then went right into these exams. I want to catch up on those. Also, there is a LOT that needs to be organized in my house that has been pushed aside for these tests. I am also just looking forward to the day where I can go home from work, eat dinner, spend time with the family, and VEG (without studying in the back of my head).

    @Embk:

oh.my.goodness!! “veg time” has been sorely missed in my life. Even when i try to rebel and watch a lil TV or a movie, the exam material is running in the background of my brain's hard drive. It's the worst.

I might try to get a masters in public administration. I'm an auditor for the state and I may want to do something else in Government accounting after I pass the CPA exam.

    REG - 5/29/12 (64), 10/1/12 (74), 5/20/13 (75, expires 12/31/14)
    FAR - 8/14/12 (64), 8/5/14 (75)
    BEC - 11/19/12 (70), 2/25/13 (72), 11/21/13 (73), 1/21/14 (73), 8/30/14 (72), 11/24/14 (75)
    AUD - 4/22/13 (65), 10/12/13 (79)

There are good ideas out here 🙂

As for me, I'm working on “repairing my life”: cleaning the apartment, get some deferred dental work done, grocery shopping, and filing taxes- all things I delayed doing during the exam.

I'm also spending some more quality time with the significant other (my first weekend after passing we hit the driving range, went roller skating, and had a nice dinner out), and we are heading to Hawaii in April and celebrating. We've been putting off that trip for 3 years for various reasons and we can finally go.

I'm also trying to get back to exercising and eating right- gotta lose the weight gained during this process. I'm definitely going to buy myself a gift (which I rarely do) as a treat- can't decide what to get though!
