The Good News: This is an updated platform and we can do a lot more with it (like make an app – which people have been asking for…)

The Bad News: Not all of the half a million posts made the journey…but most did. We lost about the last month’s worth of posts.

Short term sacrifice for long-term gain and all of that.

There will be a learning curve for sure…hope it goes mostly smooth.

Some of the old favorites (HIYA Button) will be coming back…we just wanted to launch the thing asap.

It looks neat and the switch in colors of pinned topics is a HUGE plus.

The only thing I miss is the “slimmer” view of the old forums, which I'm sure has something to do with the stuff that's pinned on the right hand side. It's like looking at wide-ruled paper after you've been reading college-ruled all this time! haha

I really wish we didn't lose our favorites. I had a bunch saved that I would refer to when studying and also had others saved for when I start searching for a new job. The new layout will take some time to get used to, but I like some of the added features.

Sorry about the favorites…I'm just glad we were able to convert *most* of the posts vs starting over. It was a 3 year project spanning many developers who said “no problem” only to tap in submission.

I don't pretend to understand the technical side of things – only that it was near impossible but we pulled it off. All of that to say – sorry the favorites are gone, but glad the posts are here.

This forum will allow us to create a forum app, which people have been asking for as well.

I don't know how score release will go with the new forum on the same server, as it's slowwww (we working on Plan B). Fingers crossed.

Would be nice if we could do a “search titles only” search. Titles of threads. Otherwise you end up with too many results. So many people don't seem to do a search at all it seems. There must be 1000s of threads on: “What is the best review course?” or “Messed up on simulations, can I still pass?”

Yes! Under “Popular Topics” I see forum search.

Previously, I was looking for it towards the very top. At the very top, I see Call Us 1-800-710-0928 | Visit Us @ | and then on that same row I see symbols that look like Chinese writing and squares.

Do you want me to email a screenshot for the Chinese symbols? Or I can attach a screenshot of it to this thread, if I can figure out how Lila did that…
