Hi guys,

I was looking to get a passport renewed ASAP. Has anyone ever tried the expedited service, where you have to make an appointment to be seen at a Regional Passport Agency?

It says they’re able to issue passports onsite, but it also mentioned something about going into an interview room. Is there something special I have to do?

I've never used the expedited service before, but how long until you need your passport? I just renewed mine a couple months ago and I got it back exactly 2 weeks to the day after sending everything in. I was impressed with how efficient the government did something for once. We also got my son his first passport and that also took exactly 2 weeks.

Or also if you pay a little more at the post office they can get it back to you within 48 hours

@apbandj I was planning a trip to leave on the weekend of June 2 or 3, which is exactly 3 weeks from today if I send the application out. Their website says it takes 2-3 weeks to send it out and I was just paranoid that it wouldn't make it in time. I'm surprised you got yours in 2 weeks too lol. Maybe I'm a bit pessimistic

Just go to the post office that offers passport service and they will help you.

I would try the regular renewal process, and if you don't get it back in 2 weeks then you should have time to still do the expedited 🙂 I was also reading on the Disney boards recently (we took a Disney cruise) about passport renewal being super quick. You might want go over there and see what people have to say. It's disboards dot com and go to the Disney Cruise Line Forum and search for passport.
