I sent in my application a few weeks ago and when I called up yesterday to see the status, all they’re waiting for is my criminal history/background check to go through and be processed.

Does anyone have experience with applying in NJ and the process?

Hi all, figured I'd add on to this one rather than starting a new thread. Also, it doesn't look like there is much on the timing.

    – Took my final exam in November 2017.
    – Got notification I passed in January 2018
    – Went back and forth with “MyCPALicense” & NJ State Board on them receiving my college transcripts but received the official letter to apply in April from the state board.
    – Employer sent in experience form.
    – Sent in my application to the state board this week.

I'll keep everyone updated on the progress.

I submitted my completed application on 5/4 along with my former employer submitting the employment verification.

The only way to get an update on a submitted application is by calling the number listed on the NJ Board of Accountancy's website.

    https://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/acc/Pages/default.aspx

    (973) 504-6380

After a few weeks of calling and being told they were waiting to receive my criminal background check. I was told today that I was approved for licensure on 6/8 and should be on the lookout for a notice in the mail.

I just wanted to update so everyone can get a better idea of the timeframes.

My license was posted on 8/2.

Has anyone applied recently for NJ? My information was passed on to NJ from NASBA but it has been crickets for a few weeks. I submitted my application, transcripts and experience verification 9/4.
