I had a bad experience while studying for REG felt so defeated and done while only half way through material but now I am back onto FAR and I got my second wind back. I am studying differently and more confident while practicing the MCQ so 2017 is going to be my year. Best of luck to everyone and keep on swimming through this up stream battle.

REG is killing me. I do not want to study AT ALL! I start chapter 5 (Becker live) on Saturday. I haven't even finished chapter 3. I just don't even want to pick up the materials. Test is scheduled for 11/23 so I better buck up and start! I just feel overwhelmed. FAR seems like a cakewalk compared to this. *sigh*

I have been studying for the last five years, as soon as I graduated with my Bachelor's degree I started studying for the CPA exam. I feel your pain!!!! My semi-break from studying will be tax season, isn't that just lovely? Stick to it! This is worth the effort everyone!

lblacker if your last section isnt until 12/10 you might benefit from taking a couple of days off now doing something fun/rejuvenating and then buckle down for the last 4-5 weeks before your exam. I was able to pass all sections on my first go mostly because I made sure to take time off in between tests. It looks like you have knocked out 2 hopefully 3 all in a row. you have earned a couple of days off to refresh and attack that last test full on.

Thats what worked for me but you do what works best for you.

Appreciate the words of encouragement guys. Sometimes this thing beats you down and you gotta pick yourself up to motivate yourself again.

Also, just a point of note for @claudia408, just because I have only been at it for 4 months and have passed 2 doesn't mean it's not difficult. The only way I was able to do it was to study literally non-stop and also while working. I've taken maybe a week off total over that time frame where I haven't studied

For most, its a marathon and a test of will. For others, the fortunate ones, they can pass these exams with little effort exerted. I have the benefit of being friends with all of these fortunate people which makes failing that much harder. I have a good friend who's study regimen was only the weekends and she would study about 6-8 hours a day Saturday Sunday…if she felt like doing other things she would skip studying for an entire week, she ended up going 4 for 4. Those are the type of people I envy haha.

I on the other hand will be approaching my 1 year mark since my first passed exam. Its been a battle. However, I try to look at the big picture and the feeling I had when I did pass my 2 exams–that's what keeps me going.

Dude Im fortunate enough to have passed the first three with no retakes. BEC has me going nuts man I have a headache every damn evening with this damn section. All the formulas and stupid ass variances I'm getting like 50% right and I thought this was supposed to be the easiest section.

Who cares whether the op has been at this four months or four decades? Nobody here can tell me four months in they were loving every second of it LOL.
