For those of us with GI bill benefits left, did you know that you can get reimbursed for the costs of your test(s)? I *think* you can get reimbursed for each test taken (despite) the score after August 2011, but one, and only one, test prior to August 2011. (Had I known this I would have asked to be reimbursed for the most expensive test!). The reimbursement reduces the amount of your GI Bill benefits remaining.

Just my .02 worth but I don't think you should have to pay for any of them! You've paid your way with your service and I commend you! Thank you for keeping me and my family safe and defending my rights! It is an honor to be in this profession with you.

Good info to know. I'm kind of surprised you have any benefits left. I burned through all of mine getting to the 150-hour mark. Definitely use it up, you earned it. What branch were you in?

I used my VEAP benefits (from being active duty Air Force) for my Construction Management undergrad degree, then joined the Seabees, got deployed to Iraq, and used those benefits to complete the required number of credits needed to write the CPA exam…so I've got a little of those Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits left. As you might guess, yes, I'm “older than average”. 🙂

Well, I wouldn't worry about the “older than average” tag. I was in and out of active duty prior to 9/11, so I definitely have more than my fair share of creaking bones….

    Thanks for serving.
