Unless Dave Ramsey has taken both exams, then his opinion means nothing.

I have friends who have studied for the series 7 over a long weekend and passed.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!

Series 6 and 7, I could do it over the weekend. Heck, anybody could do it over a weekend.

The materials and information is mostly materials from your Basic College Level Finance Classes.

hahahaha – you would be upset that people build a bigger emergency fund before paying all debt minus the house….

Ramsey doesn't know better,he is only speaking from the level he is on. His advice is good to an extent but i have to use my emergency fund to pay for this exam…lol No big deal, I have a series 6,7 and 63. I don't want to sell or give securities and insurance advice, I want to become a CPA and those of us that are taking and have taken the exam knows that no one will pass the cpa exam over one weekend of study or cram if that's what you want to call it. No worries though…..we all know how hard this exam is…….one for us (candidates)- none for Dave.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

Dave Ramsey has no clue what he is talking about. The CPA exam has only a 10 to 20% percent pass rate to pass all 4 sections on the first attempt. That means it has an 80 to 90% fail rate. Yes, individual pass rates hover between 45 and 60% for the individual sections, all that means you have a really good chance of not pass the entire exam. To truly pass the CPA exam, you must pass all 4 parts on the 1st attempt. These stats are available from AICPA and NASBA from my understanding, they don't really advertise it, probably because people already how hard the CPA exam. Its common knowledge. The CPA exam is the hardest professional exam in the world. Hands down. Ive known people who have taken the CPA exam and other exams (CFA, CMA, Series 7, CIA, CFE, BAR exam, etc.) and nearly all of them, say the CPA exam is was hardest overall. CPA = legendary for nearly over a 100 years. Pass and be proud.

I've met Dave Ramsey. Not that it's relevant to anything. 😀

There was a time that in order to get credit for a 75 on any one part of the exam you had to average a 50 on the parts you failed. This prevented you from focusing on just one part of the exam at a time. Those were the rules in NJ provided by our state board.
