I think Ronaldo will snag it, especially after the goals he scored against Sweden in the playoff. Messi hasn't had a great year by his standards even though he's still ridiculous. Personally, I think Ribery deserves it and with him and Robben leading them to the Champions League and Bundesliga, it wouldn't be a surprise.

Yeah, he is, but the Ballon d'Or award (which I assume the OP meant, and not the Golden Ball which is for most goals scored in Europe) is for the player considered to have played the best in the previous year; so technically not taking into account the present time.

Chiguy, Yes you are right, I translated it incorrectly is Golden ball and not golden boot. I hope CR7 wins it,but I also hope he gets injure right before the world cup cause Portugal is in the same group with USA. The group of death is USA,Germany,Portugal and Ghana. They are all strong teams, and Germany is the strongest of the 4,so US will have to do something extraordinary to beat Ghana (best in Africa) and Portugal (one of the best in Europe).
