Thinking about having my passing scores and exam abbreviations tattooed on my lower back or something. Anyone have any experience with this? Thoughts?

HUh … I was thinking of getting the combined number of all my scores tattooed somewhere … But then again I am not your typical accountant. My gift to myself when I finally pass the last part is a nose piercing and purple streaks in my hair … And Yes I have a job in industry for a very cool restaurant who will not even bat an eye at that …

LMFAO, I laughed so hard at the question and then the responses. Thanks for making my day.

Take it one step further. Stick your resume on your back so when you go to the beach you can garner some potential clients!

Just leave a few lines of space to fill in promotions and career shifts in the future.

Now this may be a joke to some but I told myself that if/when I passed the exam I was going to get something tattooed in remembrance of the pain/sacrifice of this hellish exam…so I did a shoulder/upper arm tattoo (blend of my favorite flowers, sugar skull and my CPA exam scores). Some people won't understand it, some people won't like it but my response is “my body, my choice – go pound sand” 🙂 Besides it is a talking piece since you don't see too many younger women sport arm sleeves that are active CPAs (granted my wardrobe has had to change to incorporate more cardigans but I am all good with that).

No one can take away your test scores, but they can take away a CPA. Plus if you don't want to keep up with CPE, you'll have to explain to people that yes you passed the CPA exam back in the day, but I'm not a licensed nor practicing CPA.

I thought about getting an embroidered trucker hat with CPA in gold letters. The kind of had that combat veterans wear that indicate where they were stationed or on what boat they sailed. Think Gene Hackman in Crimson Tide and tell me that wouldn't be sweet to say CPA.

    @ kcrc

From what I understand for Florida, you won't lose your license if you don't complete CPE. You just have to make your license inactive. They don't take your license just like that if you don't do continuing education. I have a real estate license and I have to keep up with it whether I want to or not.

I wonder if white collar criminals who were former CPAs would have faired better putting their test scores on their bodies. It would have reminded them not to steal or sign off on bogus audit reports in order to please their clients and their bank account?

I don't think I've done anything as grueling as the CPA exam (I passed it with a full-time job,4 boys and everything else that goes along with life). I am proud to wear my tat until I am old and wrinkly but until then I'll be keeping it up with color touch ups and all. I am not overly fond of faded green tats. My sugar skull has the numbers in the teeth (as if I had to suck it up, grit my teeth and get this sh*t done). Other CPAs will get it but everyone else won't and that's fine with me 😉 I want my boys to see it and know that my time away from them wasn't for nothing and that they can accomplish the insurmountable and unbeatable – progress over perfection.

Get a tattoo of the coolest cross you can find. Then put D on the top left side of the cross and C on the top right side of the cross. It's actually a T account 😀

I'm just joking please don't do this.

Forget the tattoo and man up! You can get a custom branding iron made at texasirons.com. We can have a whole ceremony and brand the score right where your heart lays. If you really love it, you won't bat an eye

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

I could see getting something cool like a nice eagle, or skulls or anything depicting the struggle and triumph of becoming a CPA. Something a little more abstract than just scores. Do you really care what your scores are that much to have it on your body??

How many lawyers, doctors, pharmacists do you see that have “lawyer” or “doctor” tattooed on them. Just, don't. My two cents.
