    @dtatham10
    Did you had to listen again to the videos?
    I mean stated from the beginning again?
    Reading it again?

    I have the two week free access to Wiley review. This morning I worked TBSRWO0034 Form 6251 an individual AMT sim. It was a married couple who were 52 with no dependents. It listed personal exemptions at $3,900 x 2 = $7,800 one for the husband and one for the wife. But in the solution it doesn't add this back in the calculation of AMT. According to Roger I was under the impression that deductions (standardized or itemized) and exemptions (personal and dependent) were added back. Am I missing something here?

    Thanks

    @CPA788- I just want Monday to come already! I'm tired of studying and want to get all this info out of my head lol. What are your plans for the weekend? I don't want to burn myself out like last time so I might just read through Roger's book and go over all the mcq's and sims I printed out.

    @bravesfannc- Not sure why the exemptions weren't added back. Exemptions are the “P” part of the SIMPLE mnemonic for the adjustments to AMTI.

    @ re2pect I was using SIMPLE and ended up getting a good portion of the sim wrong because I added back the exemptions. I checked on the IRS website for form 6251 and couldn't find where to add back the exemptions.

    @bravesfannc- I wish I could go back and look at the sim, but my access expired. I did all of them, but can't remember how I answered that one.

    I'm not 100% certain, but I'd think it would be added back to line #27 (Other adjustments, including income-based related adjustments)

    That is where I added it. I wonder if it is just a mistake on their part.

    I would think it's a mistake. If it is, then it's really not acceptable. People pay a lot of money for these courses and should expect the providers to give them accurate information. These things should be checked multiple times before being included in the review course. One of my pet peeves with Roger is all the grammatical mistakes in his book and answer explanations.

    I agree. Roger has many grammatical mistakes in the books and questions. We do pay a great deal of money and the materials should be correct. My test is tomorrow at 11am. Right now my average score in NINJA with 1941 questions answered is 80% trending is 86.8%. In Wiley it is 84% with 360 questions answered. Over the past two months I've picked up several concepts that I missed the first time around. I feel a little more confident because I'm getting questions with those concepts correct. I hope it is enough. I do like the Wiley sims and they are more like the exam than others I've tried. Just keep pounding away at the MCQ and sims for the last day. 🙂

    @jack no I didn't go back through the videos. The new 2017 Becker has some nice videos under the skills practice. I watched quite a few of those videos on my weaker topics. Just keep plugging away through mcq's and try and do at least 1 sim a day and you will be prepared come exam day.

    Good luck to you! I'm in a similar situation and was doing much better with Ninja my second time around. All my tax averages were in the low to mid 80's and blaw was somewhere in the high 70's. I think I was trending around 91%, but my access expired about a month ago and have been using mainly Gleim and Wiley. Gleim is a bit of a confidence killer, but I'm averaging 70% after around 3700 questions. I did all their tax sims 3 times and scored better each time, but left enough space in between them so I wouldn't be memorizing answers. At the end of the day I'll be around 8k mcq's and close to 350 sims attempted. It might be overkill, but I'm trying to give myself the best chance of passing and having my life back!

    @curlyhare

    I'm studying in 5 weeks with a 50-60 hour workweek. Plus I have a family. Don't know if it's doable, but it's the only shot I have.

    @re2pect – Tomorrow (Sat) is my major SIM and wrap up day, hit all categories that made it to my “review again because you still suck at this list.” Sunday I drive up to the bay area (to stay at my parents, closest Prometric is 3 hours away from me) so I'll just listen to lecture and do a few MCQ before I go to bed Sunday. You sound like you're in a good spot! I never feel ready for a test until about 12 hours before haha. Like right now, I am getting annihilated by C Corp formations/basis. Fml.

    I know it can be good for some to take the day off before, but as you can tell by my score history, I never feel comfortable doing that haha (I always feel like I'm cutting it too close). Like you said, I want to unload this stuff from my brain but am afraid if I take my head out of the book for a minute too long before the test I'll lose what I got. 8k MCQ. That has to be a record? There is no way you won't kill it on Monday.

    @ CPA788- I'm the same way. I can never take any time off right before an exam. I'm planning something similar and hope to finish reading the property tax chapter and skimming through most of blaw and ethics today. There's some terms in blaw I need to refresh on because I'd hate to get a mcq asking about one and I can't remember it. If I have time later I'll do some bookmarked questions in Gleim, but I'm kind of trying to stay away from them because I know I won't do well lol. Tomorrow I'll browse through the Gleim sims and review the ones that gave me trouble.

    I don't think I ever feel ready until I'm sitting at my station in Prometric lol. In case I'm not back on here, have a safe trip to your parents and good luck on Monday! March 8th is going to be a good day for us!
