    @namstut that's kind of a strangely worded question but I believe they are looking for B. You include the full $1k when calculating the 10% corp limitation. Once you factor the 10% and include your contribution THEN you can proceed with including the DRD.

    @Namstut

    Regarding advance rent payments –

    Roger's text states that both cash and accrual taxpayers will include them in taxable income in the period received. Same goes for advance royalty payments. Both in Sch E.

    @namstut sounds like you are suffering from the typical pre exam stress overload. I had that big time last exam. My advice, trust the foundation you've laid and try not too cram too much in a short amount of time. I noticed I would rush going through material and think I didn't know something, freak out, frantically post stuff on this board to come to find out I just wasn't reading close enough. The goal is to try and be as stress free as possible so you don't get brain block. I know that's easier said then done!!

    @dtatham10 I should probably stay away from the Board! Thanks for the advise!

    Regarding the question about DRD. I know the topic but the reference to contributions without mentioning “charitable” threw me off for the second time on this one! Your answer was correct by the way. Schedule your exam soon! Lol!!

    @Namstut- I'll echo what dtatham10 said and would try not to cram like crazy the last couple days before your exam. I did that last time for REG and I was so worn out when I took it. Since I started studying for my retake I've been more laid back and feel like I'm retaining the material better. Now I'll sit on the couch and study and won't get stressed out if I take a day off. Try and stay away from mcq's and sims the day before your exam. Maybe just review some notes or read through the book.

    @Namstut- thank you it was for payment received in yr 1 for services to be rendered in yr 2. And it was correct that for tax purpose it was to be included in income on yr 1. GLEIM SIM

    Yeah my stress free = tea, plus calm forte, plus tea, plus L-theanine. Do not recommend btw.

    @namstut I've gone back and forth on when to schedule my exam! One of my best friends who's a natural in accounting has tutored me through this whole process. He keeps recommending I push it to February, I think end of January might be better. It's the first time we have disagreed on scheduling so it's adding to my confusion! I actually have yet to even get my NTS–might need to do that before the end of the week.

    @aatoural
    sounds like you like your tea! Outside of cheap ice tea you would get from a restaurant I've never tried to drink it while studying!

    @dtatham10, @aatoural, @re2pect I think I MCQed myself out! I did 200 Becker final review MCQs. It took me close to 4-5 hours with breaks and research. I scored 89, half of the incorrect answers were plain dumb – I didn't read the question in full!

    I am staying away from MCQs for the next two days, will glance over SIMs and go through my notes.

    I will need something stronger than tea when this is all over! This was my first sober New Years! Everyone was happy to have a DD!

    Keep plugging it away!

    @dtatham10
    I seriously would not wait until February. You can have your score on 2/7! You said you feel the most confident this time around.

    I think the fear is taking it early, then sitting for the exam and having this “oh shi*” moment because you didn't cover certain areas good enough. But yeah I feel more prepared then I ever have for REG and I've articles where they say stretching your studying out too long can have negative effects. Decisions Decisions

    hey guys. can anyone with ninja look at SIM #25? for the last line, i put a $1,900 loss because of the washsale but it marked it wrong. it then explained that she'd only be allowed to take $1,900. Are we supposed to put the full loss there whether or not disallowed and report the other portion elsewhere or is this an issue with ninja?

    @dtatham10 – I get some special chamomile and jade mint from Teavana that helps the nerves or so they say. LOL

    @Namstut
    – just relax as much as possible. We all know that's very overrated but you've done your part.
