although I am in tax season right now, I have no excuse not to nail this. all of my children (4) are away at college, my husband is a whiner but I can handle him, so I am going all out for the next four weeks.

hi all, I am back to Reg for this month(after an attempt at Audit in Jan, which went terrible). My test is scheduled for 25th Feb, this is my second attempt after 72 on the last one i took in Nov.

Good to see some known names, NJPRU, Lauren, AmorD. This group seems really active which is awesome. I will be joining you guys from now.

My last attempt test result said, i was comparable and stronger in Tax, but weaker in Ethics and Blaw. So, i am planning to go through Ethics and Blaw first and then get onto Tax. I am using Becker and might also buy Ninja mcqs. Want to do all the mcqs from both. I am still thinking over how to divide days i have ,so i feel confident with my preparation. Any suggestions?

Hey Wannabe, I think you have a good plan to attack weak areas first. I too have purchased ninja and plan on supplementing it along with going back through becker questions (still have to go back through ch 3-8). I am doing it in order for the most part, but since you know you are weak in blaw and ethics maybe do those sections by topic in becker and ninja together, so you can learn between the two programs. I personally like doing problems by topic and then the last week or so doing progress tests, etc. I know you can pull this off this time! We gotta keep each other motivated the next 4 weeks!

NJ – I tried scheduling mine on the 28th but the only test time available at my center was 6 PM.

-_______- no thanks so 27th it is. I would be a nightmare of a hot mess waiting until 6pm

@Lauren, Thank you for your suggestions. Support from this forum is something that keeps us going. I have purchased Ninja mcqs again and also reset becker Homework. So i have pretty much everything to redo.

Hey everyone,

Hope the studying is going great for everybody. Quick question, do I really need to know all the limits, phaseouts and various numeric calculations to pass this test? Seems so excessive and unachievable!

Taking test Feb 26. Know the concepts and rules, but not to the nitty gritty stuff.

My post from yesterday asking about what topics from Chapter 8 in Becker were the most crucial to focus on so I'll ask it again. What topics would people say I should focus on from Chapter 8 since it seems to be the least important chapter with by far the most topics?

Don't need to know who's had what on what test but if any of the instructors or anything said to focus on X more than Y

@lonewolf, I think all topics are important. I would suggest do not leave anything. If taking aside the most important from that, i would say- Business structure, Agency, suretyship. But i remember from my test, i also got few questions from Money laundering, Employee law, Documents of title, which i wasnt sure of because i just read them once and probably i got those wrong and lost few more points that could have helped me pass. Spend little time on those too, just to be sure of important points covered in them.
