@Gabe – thanks again! I will be rooting for you (and everyone else on here)….but your positive attitude was def noticed on here and you are one of the people I would refer to as one that picks those up when feeling down. Keep that up as I know I speak on behalf of a lot of people on here that its helpful having people like you on here. NINJA was great but I will say only as a supplement to those products, GLEIM does have a great SIM bank alone that mimics the REG SIM feel. But if you can nail the NINJA SIMs you will be in great shape!

    BEC - 82 (GLEIM)
    AUD -85 (GLEIM)
    FAR -75 (GLEIM)
REG - 59, 80 (Gleim + NINJA Audio and NINJA MCQ)
    ETHICS -91
    DONE!!

89 on BEC! <Happy Dance!> I always hate studying after taking one exam but before getting my score for it. I’m still obsessing about the last section. But now it’s full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes that are REG!

I’m basically done with Business Law. I’ll need to go back and review it a bit but, for the most part, it doesn’t seem too bad. A few tricky areas but nothing completely out of left field. So now I’m ready to start into Tax. For my undergraduate degree I only took Tax 1 and I took Tax 1 again for my Master’s. But I never took Tax 2 and corporate taxes so that part REALLY worries me. I liked Tax 1 and my professor for my Master’s was awesome though. So hopefully I’ll pick it up.

My Tax Professor’s answer to all of the “why do you do this?” style questions was “Cuz. They said so.” But he was awesome.

I believe I read somewhere that the question pertains to who can revoke a cpa's license away; however, if you go into the experience thread, there is someone who also received that question and passed with an 87 which negates the theory. I wouldn't think too much about it.

^^ exactly. I was reading on the AICPA how they grade the exams and remember it saying, “we can mix in “easy” questions into a hard testlet” and vice versa. So, in the end, don't worry about it. I got an “easy” question in one of my FAR testlets and still passed.

Sold 1,225 shares of ABC Corp. stock at $9 per share. Green purchased 600 shares several years ago at $30 per share. Three years ago, when the stock price was $21, there was a 2-for-1 stock split, and two years ago, when the stock price was $25, there was a 3-for-2 stock split. No other shares were sold by Green prior to Year 2.

Can anyone explain the stock split- $30, 2/1 stock split $15, 3/2 stock split ?? (it says $10 but how are they getting there)

    Hi all,

I just squeeked by on Audit and will be starting Regulations for the Q2, 2015 testing window.

Since you guys are all battle hardened veterans of the Regulation section, I wanted to see if I can pick your guys brains for areas to focus on (Tax forms to memorize/concentration areas/studying tips/etc.)

Any help/advice would be appreciated. 🙂 Thanks!

This is how i think about this:

    purchase date: 600 shares * $30/share

2-for-1 split: double the shares but half the price: 600*2=1,200 shares; $30/share/2= $15 share

    3-for-2 split: shares: 1,200 * (3/2)=1,800 shares, but since the total stock balance wouldn't change: (1,200 * $15 ) / 1,800= $10/share
