Need help!!! I am taking REG July 15th. The materials that I have and am using to study are the Becker Textbook and MC questions. How do/can I study the task-based simulations?? I am extremely worried because I feel like I have no sample questions or anything that can help me prepare for the task-based part of the exam. Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated!!

    According to Wiley Testbank (2012)

For 2013, Medical expense deduction threshold is increased from 7.5% to 10% of AGI [Between years 2013-2015; 7.5% applys to taxpayers and their spouses who are over age 65 before the close for year]

Is this correct or can anyone confirm the change? Since changes hit in Q3

    Thanks

    FAR - 44, 63, 65, 77
    BEC - 57, 77
    AUD - 68, 62, 71, 89
    REG - 66, 79

    CA Ethics: 94

A setback is a setup for a comeback

    Hey Guys!

I just found out I passed AUD with an 87!!!

Feels bittersweet, because while I am done with AUD, I am now going back to REG which I failed with a 56 on my first attempt…

Any REG studying tactics would be greatly appreciated 🙂

I wish everyone the best of luck with their next exam!

    AUD: 66, 67, 87!!
    REG: 56, 63, 84!!
    FAR: 72, 78!!
    BEC: 71, 75!!

    @mrssimple … this is what I found

    https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Questions-and-Answers:-2013-Changes-to-the-Itemized-Deduction-for-Medical-Expenses

@KFrancis – I have been finding what helps me is to do the lecture … work through examples in the book, do MCQs, then print out the ones I got wrong to my Samsung note and study from there on the go. In the past, I would get SO frustrated with not keeping up with my schedule I would feel I was forgetting everything and I found doing a progress test on the chapters I already did like every three days helps too. Then you aren't forgetting stuff from chapter one two weeks before the exam. Awesome job on the AUD – how did you do it?? Any advice for me? I HATE audit bc I never do it. Thanks!

Time to get the coffee started and get this dreary, study-filled weekend started!!

BEC - TOO MANY FAILS TO LIST! July 2015 I WILL GET IT!
AUD - AUG 2015- NEVER PASSED!
    FAR - LOST CREDIT
    REG - PASSED

Study weekend here too! I try to break it up into 2 hours session. Here goes my first one!

The NINJA updates will address the changes for 2013, I usually go by what Jeff says….Hopefully they will be out soon

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

I'm so confused… so if I go take my exam this July, am I supposed to follow the 2012 or 2013 taxable year rules?

    FAR - Passed
    AUD - Passed
    BEC - Passed
    REG - 8/22/2013

I probably already know the answer to this, but I need to just write it. I originally had REG scheduled for 5/31. I postponed until 7/8 because I didn't feel prepared, and I'm retaking FAR at the end of August. But I'm having a REALLY hard time getting back into studying. I feel so drained every night. I even started working out from 6-7pm after work 4 days/week to try and get my mental focus back, but now I feel even more drained. I find myself just staring at my PC trying to get through MCQs. I have completed all the videos and am trying to get through the homework problems, but I'm so uninterested. Any thoughts to jolt me back into the mode would be great.

    BEC - 69, 66, 78 (exp), 82
    FAR - 69, 72, 66, 76
    REG - 64, 66, 72, 80
    AUD - 77
    Ethics - 95
Waiting on License to be issued!!!
