Has anyone ever called the AICPA to see if more audit scores are going to be released? Will they give out that kind of information or are they worse than NASBA?

Have any of you taken a practise exam, failed it, then studyed more a coule days before the real exam and passed? I've been studying, and took a practise exam last night after work, and failed it. Just wondering if anyone has gone through this?

@english.american- When I took FAR, I scored in the 50's on both practice exams and ended up getting a 75. For BEC, I scored around 75 for the practice exam and got an 85 on the real test. For Audit, I got an 85 on the practice exam and an 85 on the real thing.

So, to answer your question in short, yes, this is not only possible, but very common IMO. Good luck!

English.american – Similar to what others say. I failed both FAR and and just barely the BEC final exams but got mid 80s on the actual. On the AUD final becker exams I passed both and and got in the 90s. My actual score was on average 14 points higher than the average becker final score for each respective section.

Hope this helps and good luck.

    FAR(11/09) - 83; AUD(1/10) - 94; BEC(2/10) - 83; REG(2/10) - 88

english.american – are you talking about the Becker practice exams. I totally had that happen w/ REG – I think it's b/c the Becker practic exams are so tough.

I'll be away from my computer, but I anticipate hearing some news soon.

If so, I will post it on Twitter while I'm away…

HI everyone, thanks for your replies; I too took the Audit practice exams prior to the real exam and passed both; my actual Audit exam score was an 80:) I have tonight and all day tomorrow to complete a final review using the Becker materials for REG. I've done all the homework already but still feel anxious lol, and I don't really remember the homework problems:( > I don't think I should take the 2nd practice exam tonight, but rather review the material more and more since my exam is Thursday morning, and I feel like I know the material but need to make it concrete, thas all. Would you guys agree? Or should I do another practice exam tonight when I come home from work; I just don't think I have the time.

Thanks ahead of time for more support.

@english.american- I think your first approach seems like a good one. Since you're running out of time, I think doing a real solid review of everything (with emphasis on your weak points) will benefit you more than taking another exam tonight. I took the same exact approach and am 3 for 3 so far (hoping to be 4 for 4 if I pass REG!).

Taking another exam without doing a review probably won't benefit you much. If you have the time, take the other exam tomorrow. If not, it's not the end of the world.

NYCcpahopeful – thanks a bunch > you have been extremely helpful. I gotta head back to work now, but I'll be starting a long review session tonight and into the Wednesday. Thanks again. My exam is Thursday so I'll look you and let you know how it went lol > good I hope.
