    tax_vixen congratulations on the 99! That's incredible. I actually dreamed (in the moments I slept last night) that I got a 99 but was still SO thankful when the 82 showed up! 🙂

    NY-CPA congrats on passing all of them!

    BEC - 83 (7/09),FAR - 80 (11/09), AUD - 84 (1/10), REG -82 (3/10)

    SSGG, go for it…..

    After failing REG2x I applied the new strategy to FAR and was able to pass…. I thought I would surely fail FAR since I was guessing so much in the MCQs…but it left me enough time for the SIMS where I did well enough on the tabs……When I walked out of FAR I thought I scored about a 40…..turned-out to be a 78….

    BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, AUD=70,69, 84 DONE!

    Thanks TSword7! Still think it's a mistake, haha. I must have had a lot of “pretest” questions….. or maybe it was those lucky McDonald's french fries I had before the exam.

    AUD - 92 :: REG - 99 :: FAR - 92 :: BEC - 82

    Shawna, I most definitely did NOT feel good walking out of reg. I took audit in January and walked out feeling really good, I felt like I knew the answer to every question. I ended up getting a 92 which seemed plausible.

    When I took regulation though I questioned myself a lot more (since I am a tax accountant and deal with this stuff everyday). When I got to the simulations there were 3 tabs between the 2 simulations that had topics I'd never seen in Becker and I panicked! I literally guessed on an entire tab. They were TOUGH. I walked out thinking I may have gotten between a 75 and an 80, just by comparing my experience to audit. I was WAY wrong…

    AUD - 92 :: REG - 99 :: FAR - 92 :: BEC - 82

    cpa701- I used the 2009 Yaeger Home Study course to pass REG on my 3 try. I played the law DVDs over and over again when ever I was in the car and in the shower….I kinda memorized all the legal stuff then did the MCQs in the Wiley book 2 days before the exam. Since it was my 3X, I watched the tax portions of the DVDs at 1.5 to 2.0X speed, my brain was trained to listed at 2X speed since I already had listened to the DVDs before.

    I did most of the MCQ in the Wiley CPA Exam Review 2009 book 2 times.

    But the test-strategy I took on my 3rd REG test was different:

    1. I went faster during the MCQs by NOT being stubborn to figure out each MCQ; always guess “b” right-away if I couldn't figure out how to solve in 20 seconds.

    2. I AVOIDED the Research trap! it's only worth 1 or 2 points and it's insane to find what you're looking for…

    3. I wrote a short novel on the written communications sections, ( I hadn't before and always scored low).

    4. And the efffects of the above left me plenty of time to figure-out the SIMS which were the MOST difficult of the 3 REG exams of my 3rd try…

    Hope the above works

    BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, AUD=70,69, 84 DONE!
