For those of you who have recently taken or are familiar with the REG exam, how important are phaseouts to know? I’m just wondering because for every little thing there is always a phase out and of course the dollar amounts are always different.

    Any ideas or thoughts?

    Becks,

in general, if a particular threshold or phaseout changes every year or periodically it does not need to be remembered. phase outs usually change every year so do not need to be remembered.

i second that. i didnt remember any phaseouts for the exam and i took it last testing window. my biggest frustration is that i spent equal time learning both the tax and law chapters and i would say that there were about 90% of the questions geared towards the tax chapters. it was so frustrating. best of luck!

Business Law is only supposed to consist of 20-25% of the multiple choice questions.
