I am just wondering if anyone has advice for a third REG attempt. The first time, I just did not prepare well and got a 48. The second time, I spent 3 weeks on CPAexcel lectures, 1 week on writing ninja notes, 2 weeks on MCQ, 1 week on writing ninja notes again, and 2 weeks on MCQ and flashcards, for a total of 9 weeks, and I got a 60. I am currently preparing for BEC on 2-28-14, and have already laid out my plan for REG. Is this a good plan? Comments and suggestions are welcome.

This is what I did for my retake…

Write and rewrite basis rules for Indiv and Corp entities until you have it memorized. Use a 1040 form and know where everything goes, For AGI, etc…and ethics and legal resp backwards and forward, also other areas depending on your “weak areas” from score report…

Then quality not necessarily quantity MCQs where you retain what you learn from missed questions

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!

Make sure you are practicing for the SIMs enough– there is a lot of MCQ in your plan, so don't overlook being able to put the concepts in use for practical application. SIMs are worth 40% of the score, so they are well worth the practice time.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)
