I have never heard of anyone getting a business law simulation. My study material has it was highly unlikely that a business law simulation would appear on the exam. However, it is a possibility. If by some strange occurence a business law sim did show up, I doubt it would be more than one single tab. All the simulations seem so scattered and cover many topics. I, personally, wouldn't waste precious time preparing for a business law simulation. Keep doing the business law MCs and, if a business law sim shows up, you'll be as prepared as possible.

I agree with AllenA. I don't think I have heard of one person that had an entire BLaw Sim – if anything maybe one tab. From what I have heard and experienced – the Sims are tax related.

AllenA – I am taking BEC in a little over 3 weeks. Awesome score on your BEC exam in such a short time from AUD. What study material did you use? Any tips for me? I am using Becker.

I used BISK and felt really prepared for the exam. Thanks for noticing the score. It felt pretty good.

I'd recommend doing MCs over and over and over (like all the other exams). Make flashcards for all the formulas that you find difficult, along with the entity types, and anything else that is giving you trouble. I studied for about a week (roughly 35 hours, I think) and felt really prepared for it. I'd recommend knowing as much as possible about corporations and S Corps, specifically.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. Good job on your scores, too! You're doing great.

allen thanks for yr reply….i really hope the sims do not have many tabs, so we may increase chances . its always risky when they focus on a fringe topic …i pray there is no bss law sims.

also have they scrapped the tax forms for the sims??

how did u study for reg??…it appears u did yr exams in record time…congrats. i'm sure u will pass..

pls what was yr strategy for bss law?? bss law is way too tricky especially to apply it to the questions even when i understand the concepts and all… any strategy in eliminating answers??

The business law questions on the real exam aren't as bad as they are in most study materials. I felt weak in B-Law going into my REG exam and they ended up being the easiest questions. Alternatively I felt extremely strong in Tax going into the exam and that was by far the hardest part, so go figure.

    Allen,

I am using the Gleim review.. My test is on 5/29/2010.. I am scheduling to study a chapter a week and leaving me two weeks (that is two weekends) to review.

I should have enough time to study for BEC correct?

    Thanks for your help!

    Carolen,

Does that mean you are giving yourself 4 days to review? I'd recommend taking a few more days than that to review. Perhaps you can speed up your regular studies a little. Four days was more than enough for me to review but I felt that I had a pretty strong grip on BEC before I began studying for it. Everyone is different in their study retention. If you feel confident (and are reviewing as you go), then four days might be enough. I found the review to be as helpful (if not more helpful) than the lectures.

I'd do a practice test when you have about 10 days left. If you can score in the 80s, then you should have no problem reviewing for only four days. I wouldn't want you to take the test unprepared, so I can't really say if four days would work for you or not. It worked for me though (I thought BEC was by far the easiest exam, though many others would disagree).

    Good luck!
