Well, that exam was….weird. Definitely the most different material from any of my study materials that I’ve had on an exam, and this was my 4th. I used Becker, NINJA notes, and NINJA mcqs. There were a lot of questions on blaw and ethics that were on topics I’ve never heard of.

ALSO, was wondering if anyone else had a SIM like this. I won’t go into topic details, but the format was so different than anything I’ve seen. I had my normal typical research question, but then I also has another one that said to use the authoritative literature to look up the topics listed and answer the given questions. It was easy and so straight forward. Too easy. Was literally just like a google search and plugging in the answers. It gave me word for word what to look up. Has anyone had that kind of sim? I really hope it counted.

I also possible had a test DRS SIM, but I’m not sure. There was my question tab, and email correspondence, and the financial data in another tab. I’m not sure if this counts as DRS or if I just haven’t seen a sim like it.

So if becker does not prepare you for Reg this window, and ninja MC has the same issue, then why even bother taking Reg?

@ cb Would you say ninja mcq helped prepare you for most of it? Or was it just so different.

Well, I guess we better go back to the book and make sure we are covering everything if there are unfamiliar topics, and maybe study some sims. I have about 25 days left, I'm not sure if I should change now.

I didn't have that kind of SIM in REG but I had it in AUD, according to your score, I would be surprised if you don't pass REG, but everyone is different. To me, REG seems much easier than AUD and FAR.

How easy would it be for the CPA examiners to pi$$ off Becker? I mean, in a way it is not fair. Becker is the most expensive, so you have to be able to afford Becker. All the examiners have to do is have a look at the latest Becker REG course book and pick questions that are not in the Becker course.

I have seen questions in Becker that are identical to what you see on your exam. Now maybe they are supplied from the AICPA, but still, if you wanted to create an equal opportunity exam, you could easily just make questions that are outside the Becker material.

@Nessie, I agree with you, that is why I buy Becker older version books, I am too cheap. Their program is too expensive, but it is better than Gleim. Thank god we have Ninja now.

You guys are scaring me. I have gone over REG's MC with Becker three times, and in case Becker is not enough, I have also been working with ninja (just completed 542 questions). I have to rely on either one, and now you are getting questions that were not covered in neither of them. What is place C, gleim? I have also been doing simulations with gleim just in case.

@Martin, Gleim sim is pretty good, I used Gleim to practice REG. Don't worry, that kind of Sim isn't bad. When I was taking Aud, I was more frustrated with Mcq questions.

I felt that Becker for REG was harder than the actual test, however I did have one question that was completely out of nowhere on my test. Luckily it was just one so not too much damage could be done.

Vanessachy, thanks for the tip, but I guess you would be scared too if you are relying on both becker and Ninja, and then someone who has studied from the same material says=There were a lot of questions on blaw and ethics that were on topics I've never heard of.

trele6, I would be ok with 7 questions with topics i have never seen before, but not 3 sections of B.Law. I guess im extra paranoid cause I just need to pass Reg by 6/09/16. I find Ninja questions a little harder than Becker, did you practice with ninja too?

I am taking reg in a few weeks too! What do you guys think of the YAEGER CRAM courses?

So far, I have read the Becker book and am working through NINJA MCQ, but only averaging about 60% trending score! I need to pass this exam so I am freaking out a bit.
