    Hi guys and another71.

just found out my score for Reg. I got a 67, it was my second time taking it, and I did worse than my first time (70).

My first time around I used Beckers only, supplemented w/ ninja notes.

2nd time around, I purchased wiley test bank and did mcq’s over and over and over, and over again. and read the updated ninja notes as much as i could. (For my 2nd time around for Far, I used wiley test bank and passed w/ flying colors.)

I was comparable in all the topics, except for ethics section.

and then weaker in both mcq’s and sims.

extremely devastated and frustrated when I find out that i did worse, especially on the last exam that I need to take. my first one expires oct 28. i know i can’t quit, but i am ready to.

    any advice or suggestions?

Yes – you CAN just read the book in lieu of videos and I've seen several people find success with that.

Book / Software / NINJA Audio / NINJA Notes is an affordable route to go.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

The meat of the REG lies in taxation. Not only one must know it for the MCQ but more importantly for the sims.

Becker's R1-R4 have to be immaculately fresh to nail this exam. Like days fresh.

Perhaps in those 29 days, re-watch tax chapters and do MCQ + sims for them and address business law by doing MCQ only.

My REG review included watching tax section videos twice in addition to online research for certain complex subjects that Becker had skimmed thru.

    Good luck!

For REG it also helps to review some sections of IRC and study the most important tax returns – commit them to memory! And also, I think the review courses don't cover this part very well, but it is very important to understand all types of income for all entities and know what's passive! Plus gains/losses subject – very important!

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

@terranz I didn't use the NINJA audio for REG but I did for FAR. I am seven months post passing the CPA exam and I can still vividly hear Jeff saying “You have to know this stuff backwards, forwards, and sideways.” And that's the way it is for all four parts of the exam. Are you utilitizing any type of audio material? If not I strongly suggest that you do. Purchase the NINJA audio or make your own. Better yet, implement BOTH. I made my own audio recordings in addition to the NINJA. SInce REG is giving you a fit, you need to maximize your study time. You can be studying anywhere, anytime.

And when it's all over, like me, you'll still be hearing voices!!!

    Best wishes!
