As of yesterday, I am now officially a CPA. I want to thank everyone again on the board, and thank Jeff as well for creating such an amazing site. This place is a great resource for support and help for the exam. For those still studying, keep going and never give up. It is well worth it in the end. Good luck to all, and thanks again for the amazing ride.

Thank you guys, I appreciate it!

@ tomq04, I am in New York. They originally quoted me 12 – 16 weeks, then when I called for an update in July, they said they were very backed up and to expect 16 – 18 weeks. It actually wound up taking only 11 and half weeks to become licensed, and it will be about 7 – 10 more business days to receive my license in the mail.

My advice is to put all your forms in the mail certified with tracking and call up once they get everything to confirm that they have everything. Then, follow up every few weeks with the department where your application is currently in. I did this, and I think it helped, because I have heard some nightmare stories that if you do not follow up, your application could sit in limbo for awhile.
