    Hello everyone; congrats on passing!

I have an odd question about the ethics exam that I hope you alumni can answer.

AICPA members get a discount on the ethics course, so would it be possible for an AICPA member to place the ethics course order for me (to get the discount)? I'm just not sure if it will be assigned to the other person.

Also, how does the ethics score get submitted? I know there is a code on the software, but how do you match it to your candidate file?

These may seem like silly questions, but I work with “paper & pencil”/”back-in-my-day” CPAs, so it is somewhat difficult to get accurate information about it.

    REG: 7/3/12- 89
    BEC: 7/30/12- 83
    FAR: 8/31/12- 84
    AUD: 10/6/12- 76
    ETHICS: 95

    Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let anyone interested in the Florida DBPR licensure process that my application was processed really quickly. I sent it out on 8/9/2012, it was received 8/14/2012, and was approved today 8/16/2012. I'm extremely pleased!

So I am finally a licensed CPA thanks to experience in academia counting towards work experience. 2 more years and I'll be a PhD as well!

Congrats to everyone else officially becoming CPAs!

Started collecting all my references and took my ethics class in May. Got everything back and sent my application to the NC Board on 7/19. Got it back on 8/9 as “improperly notarized” because the notary wrote their name on one line instead of my reference's. Resubmitted corrected application on 8/17, got an email today that it is correct and to allow AT LEAST 10 WEEKS for staff and board review.

I don't know why I ever expect anything to happen quickly during this process. I was approved for the exam, already had the credit hours, passed the exam, passed the ethics course, and submitted my references and experience affidavit. What is so hard about approving the app? One last chance for them to frustrate me I suppose.

Any Texas candidates out there, the Board received my information last Monday. They emailed me on Friday to say they are starting the approval process. Does anyone know how long I might be waiting to be approved. I remember reading that you have to be approved by the 21st to be in the December ceremony.

Hello everyone, my name is Augustine Gold and I am one of the newest member of the Alumni group. I also have MBA but I can't find a job. It's been two weeks since I completed the last section of the CPA. Please, if anyone knows a firm in Long Island, NY that is hiring, let me know. Even if I have to work for free to obtain my one year experience requirement in order to obtain my license, I do not mind doing that. Also, an advice will also be appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.
