    oh my gosh! Now that you ask that I can't remember!!!

    I know I did… I had to have mailed it off! I usually just throw things in our firms “needs postage” bin. Now I am nervous that I maybe forgot to! I thought I mailed it in the day I received it.

    I guess we will see…

    @jwliu84

    I just finished the CA licensing process this week. My application was approved and I mailed my initial licensing fee to the Board on Tuesday. Here is the link to the CA Board's website https://www.dca.ca.gov/cba. There is a section for licensing which details all the steps. I found the CA Board to be very responsive and easy to work with. In short, you will need to take and pass the CA Professional Ethics exam and also transfer your grades from IN to CA. I had to transfer my grades from GA to CA. CA also has two pathways to licensure depending on your experience and education.

    Regarding your second question. I was in the process of interviewing for jobs after I passed my last section and while I was going thru the licensing steps. Almost near the top of my resume I put in bold “CPA candidate (exam completed; licensing in progress)”. I also made sure to mention that I had passed the exam to recruiters, HR, and the hiring CFO if they did not mention it during the interview. Just having passed the exam opened so many more doors that otherwise would have not been opened. It really made a difference.

    Good luck.

    KTE_CPA, Congrats! I know what you mean about how nice it is not to have to explain your progress towards the CPA. I was just licensed in OH in April and love that I can finally use those 3 letters!!!!!!

    ahha yes it does feel weird @mparker – almost dont know what to dow ith myself after work and at lunch and on the subways…gotta say-im not not unhappy im being FORCED to take these extra 27 credits. Is anyone else in the same boat? I graduated Loyola in MD w accounting, 124 credits. ive met ALL the accounting/business requirements so Im now taking arbitrary online courses at a community college near me in NJ.

    3 classes this summer: Intro to Art/Visual Culture, Speech Comm, & Stress Management (<- HA, couldve used this during the test)

    such a joke-im scared to freak out via email ro phone to the AICPA in fear of them putting an sterisk next to my application once it finally goes in next year when Im done w this stupid schoolwork >:I
