    I can not believe I did not send that stupid packet certified mail with return receipt!! Do you think it will affect anything? Now I'm freaking out! Im glad you checked with them on the approval date. They way I had understood it was the weekly registration just has to have been done before March 23rd. I wonder if that means Fridays are the days they register every week. I sure hope so, because I don't expect they will get my packet until, at the earliest, tomorrow afternoon.

    Im nervous about that conduct exam. I know people at my firm who failed that thing 3 times! I just want to be done! Oh well, it is sent off already and nothing I can do about it now. At least we are all on the downslope at this point. I would love to go to the June ceremony though, so bad!

    I'll have to say “congratulations” personally if you are at the same ceremony!

    @witchkizzle- I sent it that way for my own comfort…I don't think it will make a flip of difference. I am very nervous about the conduct exam….. I would definitely love to say congrats in person! Here's to hoping we make the June cut!!

    @mla1169

    Can't believe I didn't answer you yet…

    I'm sorry about the teaching…they fire teachers for one little complaint and don't say what the complaint is? Wow.

    But I guess it really turned out for the good if you are enjoying your “free” time.

    Are you licensed yet?

    I called the state board and they were kind of ticked off at me. They said i will have to wait for the subsequent ceremony as i am cutting it too close and that they would not guarantee anything. I am taking my time and sending it in the next wave, i dont want to gamble with the code of professional conduct exam.

    I received my actual “license card” in the mail from TX. I was expecting much more but it was some flimsy little card LOL! I'm looking forward to getting my wall certificate in June 🙂

    @dp143

    dp doesnt stand for Deer Park does it?

    Also, Is your information updated on your candidate log in on the tsbpa website? I have been checking every hour to see if I will make the cut-off but I don't know how fast they put your conduct score and their acknowledgement of receipt for your applications and fee.

    When did you mail you information in?

    @witchkizzle…after dp's posting i called…they are pushing my application through, or so he said. He said normally it takes 3 weeks but that since I told him I wanted to get sworn in with my husband (I think I pulled his heartstrings a bit) that he would get mine in for Monday's registration.

    Are you serious!? I emailed but I didnt know you could call and ask until after they were closed! Oh well, I guess I will just have to accept that I won't be able to go in June. That sucks, but at least I'll still be a CPA soon.

    I work in west Houston near the Galleria but I live 30 miles away in southeast houston, specifically Deer Park 🙂

    Awesome! My Uncle has a house out on Lake Conroe so I drive through your area every now and then!

    Other than that I don't get up that way much anymore, now that I dont go to many concerts at the Pavillion…

    I really think North Houston is one of the nicest areas around. How do you like it?
