Passed all of my exams, and no one cares… Does that make sense? - Page 2

So I found out that I passed my last exam, and it just feels like no one cares. I hate sounding self centered, but my family and friends are just like “well, we expected you to pass, good job.”

I guess I just expected more excitement surrounding the situation. I know people have their own lives and their own worries, but I just wish someone wanted to go out to celebrate or something. Even my fiancé is being mellow about the situation. He got mad at me for waiting 2 hours to tell him (so I could tell him in person…)

Anyone else have a similar experience? I’m starting to wonder if I’ll miss the void that the exam has left in my life… lol

I felt so much happier this time passing BEC than AUD because when I told certain family and friends in my life, they didn't have much of a reaction which put a damper on my mood…this time around I only told the people close to me that really care and want to see me prosper 🙂 This process is showing me that some people (family, friends, etc.) need to be left behind in my evolution to be a better me.

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!

No one who hasn't gone through it understands what it's like. I expect this is true of other tests, like the BAR exam or whatever doctors take to get their final license.

With each test, I sent out emails to my family saying “that was horrible, sure I failed, I hate this exam, why did I ever start this torture!” which were absolutely sincere. So when I passed them and sent out *those*, my family had some idea of what it meant to me.

My husband is a CPA so he got it, fortunately, and he also watched me suffer through all the anxiety.

CONGRATULATIONS! Not only did you pass, you got fantastic scores! Throw your own party. You deserve it.

I was definitely thinking the same thing after I passed. Didn't really think anybody really cared, and it was confirmed after it was all over. Its ok though, I'm done! Can't wait to get that Audi in 5 years haha.

Well if it makes you feel any better when I told my manager who is a CPA about how I'm freaking out and only have 2 weeks till my exam she just said it would be easier to just quit the exam and not worry about it. I just looked at her like **** you.

And props to you for passing all part! These exams are tough and I think many people don't realize how tough it is until they actually experience it. Go celebrate and take lots of shots. Its an accomplishment that many wish to make but few succeed in making it.

I literally just sent out the Calendar appointment/invites to all of my coworkers to join me for a celebration drink Wednesday.

It's over, and I'm going to celebrate!!!!

Not waiting for someone to put it together on my behalf, but I will say a few people have called or come to my office to congratulate me. They are actually making a big deal out of it. One coworker went on and on about how impressed she is. And she is so proud of me, after seeing my life fall apart around me because of the sacrifices I had to make. She was genuinely happy for me. And it was so kind of her to share that.
