Finally, I am able to say that I have conquered the CPA exams. Just got the score for FAR and passed with an 80!!!!! Coming out of the test, I had a terrible feeling that there was no way in hell I would have passed the FAR exam. I took 2:15 minutes to finish the MCQs and had 1:45 left to finish the SIMS. My mcqs were a lot of NFP questions and at least 4 bond questions and a bunch of what I felt like were Gov questions. So suggestion to everyone, do not overlook the govt and specially the NFP accounting portion. IMO Becker did an average job with the NFP so I supplemented my study with Ninja to cover items that Becker did not do a very good job with. In terms of SIMS, do not overlook the Contingency sections and subsequent events section. I focused a lot on the harder topics for the SIMS ( SOCF, Equity, Leases) and did not have any SIMS on those. However, i swear I had 2 SIMS on Contingencies and 1 on subsequent event. Good luck everyone!!!
I'm done! I failed five exams in a row, passed three in three months, failed FAR once, then finally passed FAR today with a 77. I'm so happy to have this behind me. Hopefully I'll be licensed in a couple months!
Thanks Jeff! I used your products mostly for that soothing voice on my way to work lol
I am DONE!! Ninja's materials really helped me a lot for passing these 4 exams! Especially the Ninja Audio! Congrats on everybody who has passed their exams!
I got my Master's in accounting in 2007, but I put off taking the exam until 2012. After passing two parts, I got heavily involved in local theater and kept putting off the other parts until the credits eventually expired. I convinced myself that I didn't need it.
But this year, I decided at the beginning of 2019 that I would undertake this again and finally get my license. I was tired of telling people that I was an accountant but not a CPA. I felt stuck in my mid-level position. And I felt like I had unfinished business after giving up on something that actually was important to me.
I passed my first exam in August 2014, and I have been waiting to post in this thread ever since. It hasn't been easy but today I can finally say that I AM DONE!
I started studying back in January 2016; took all four parts in 2016 and failed all four parts in 2016. Completely lost in life in 2017 and didn't do anything with the CPA. January 2018 I have decided to pick up CPA again and start from the beginning. My last CPA score just released an hour ago. I am officially done! I don't need a CPA for my current job but I did this just so that I can prove to myself that I am able to achieve something that seems so impossible. I did it!!!
Congrats to everyone else out there who just passed the last part of their CPA exam!! And best of luck to everyone who are still on their journey to become a CPA. It's worth it!
Congrats to all that passed and are finished. @ Duck, you're right procrastination is unnecessary and stressful. Proud to say, I had a Great study day today after soooooo much procrastination.
It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass
