Due to a burn ban in my area, I was not able to make a large bonfire like other candidates. However, after this long, emotional roller coaster, I still wanted to chuck my study material for good!

So, I got all my items together and dumped each section’s books and notes after a short speech mentioning what that section put me through and my best friend snapping a picture of me throwing it away.

I almost forgot to mention that I also spit on each pile before chucking it – just for good measure 🙂

Finally being done: It’s a wonderful feeling!!!

Congrats G3, I bet that felt amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was able find a “good home” for my FAR, BEC, and REG materials (with a caveat that my REG materials cover topics from 4Q 2012 and should only be used for business law) but I have special plans for my auditing materials. My audit materials are from 2Q 2013 before the clarified standards came into play so they won't do anyone a bit of good. Considering how much suffering I endured at the hands of evil audit, death by firing line is the only appropriate sentence. Once spring comes, I will be making a trip to the range with some special targets! 😉 Can't wait!!!! 🙂

    REG: 75 DONE 🙂
    AUD: 61, 71, 68, 92 DONE 🙂
    BEC: 76 DONE 🙂
    FAR: 72, 74, 79 DONE 🙂
    Licensed Michigan CPA 🙂

I plan to keep my books for reference purposes. Sometimes, I have to go back and review a concept because I've gotten stumped on something at work. I think the FAR and REG book would be great references after the exam.

I still have my review books from 2010. I guess I'll hold on to them for sentimental purposes. I'm glad I did keep my Gleim FAR book because it explains some things a lot better than the Wiley book.

    REG - 78
    FAR - 79
    AUD - 76
    BEC - 75

I have been on this journey off and on for over 10 years. I think it's about time that I wrap this up.

    AUD - 10/21/16 (75----07/2010 expired)
    FAR - 10/28/16
    BEC - 11/2016
    REG - 01/2017
