For those that are done, does anyone miss studying? I thought I would, but now I couldn’t be happier. FAR burnt me out so badly that I can’t even read my Cosmo magazine.

I don't miss studying. I'm thinking about taking a fun course or two from Coursera just for general knowledge. I never took any fun courses at uni, and now I'm feeling a bit adrift at the thought of not having a syllabus to follow or a deadline for an exam.

@M.O.D. Not yet – just started a new job on Dec 1, so focusing on learning all the aspects of the new job (the person I am replacing is retiring and training me for a few weeks before her retirement date) – once we get through January, I'll assess whether I want to try for the May/June window or wait for the September/October. I'm hoping to do both in 1 window, so we'll see. 🙂 I've looked at the books some but not enough to really count as reading/studying.

Congratulations on your new job. It is cheaper to take the CMA in one window, but obviously much more studying. Much of it will duplicate your future MBA studies.

I agree with what others said. I think it's more about missing having a goal. Right now I'm enjoying the time off from studying, especially around the holidays. But I'm going to start getting my resume in shape next week and look for a more challenging job.

I'm sure learning a new job will keep be occupied for a while, especially if i go into public. Tax season is approaching. Once I get “comfortable” with a new job, I will seek out a new goal. I never want to stop learning.
