You can go to the state accountancy board website to find their most recent board meeting minutes. See if you can find your name in the minutes.

    https://www.mscpa.org/

    Is this a correct link?

No. That link is the state society, not the governing body.

    https://filenet.mt.gov/dlimtg/search/meetings?BoardCode=x

Check in the above link. Their past meeting was on 3/31/17 and the coming meeting will be in May.
Click the full meeting's agenda and see if you can find your name.

Try to directly contact the state board. I do not go through the whole process yet, so I cannot really answer.

Do you see your name on the 5/11 or 5/12 agenda?

Every time the state board has a meeting, the board members discuss those candidates and make decision for approval or more action for candidates from qualification of applying the exam to granting license.

    Thanks for your help.

Contacted the state board and they provided me the link for Professional Ethics (for Licensure) exam.
They told me that You don’t need a congratulatory letter to apply for licensure, you need your exam results to apply for a license. the congratulatory letter comes from CPAES (NASBA), not the Board.

Good for you. The ethics exam seems not difficult. You are almost done.

Well, May 10 came and went, I emailed NASBA and it seems my application missed their date for submission to the CO board by just a couple of days. I have to wait until June 28th before I can call myself a Cee Pee Ayyyy…

My co-workers are taking full advantage of my situation to give me a daily ration of crap.

“So, are you a CPA yet?”

“You're almost a CPA, what do we need to do about situation X?”

    “Someday, when you're a CPA…”

Our CCO is particularly good at working these little jabs into daily conversation – imagine working with an annoying little brother. It's a good thing we are friends, or I might get a little stabby. 🙂
