When is it a good time to ask employer to fill out work experience form? - Page 2

    I passed all four sections of the CPA exam in NY in early 2012. I started my work experience under a licensed CPA on December 3, 2012. So, I just hit the one-year mark. Should I ask my employer to fill out the work experience form (Form 4B) NOW or is it too soon? If it’s too soon, then how long should I wait?

    Please advise. Thanks.

    @Baxter- I think the form needs to be mailed directly by the employer. At least, that's the way it is in NY

    @CPAman It's too their benefit because now your billable rate will go up.

    @CPAMan When you stop by his office with the form he needs to sign ASAP, I suggest pairing it with good coffee & bagels from his favorite cafe! Thank him for taking the time to complete the form and offer to take him out to lunch on your dime when you get your license in hand. An edible bribe or 2 never hurt anyone!!! 😉
