Two forms of ID??????

I took FAR today (2/27/2010) and was only required to provide one form of ID. I tried to give the two, I even tried to explain that it says right on the NTS that they need two forms of ID. But the prometric employee (college age) was very insistant that they had been told that they only need to see one form of ID now. I took AUD on 1/2/2010 at a different location and was required to show my two ID’s so I thought that this was really weird.

    Has anyone else experienced this???

I had a similar experience. Apparantly, you and I are both in their “system.” Prometric has informed me in July at one testing center that only one piece of identification is acceptable (my D/L).

However, despite that I always bring 2 forms of identification, my d/l and U.S Passport. I have tested in different locations including Clark, NJ (135 Parkway) , Fair Lawn, NJ (17 and 4) and New York, NY (Penn Station) and have been requested to show both, or one.

So the short answer; bring two forms of ID and the finger you used to register.

If I remember correctly (I haven't looked at the requirements in a while), I think if you use your D/L as a form of ID, the second form can be a credit or bank card.

    I'll Pass Eventually

    I always say 2 Primary ID's are the best…. D/L , passport etc.,..

Also as a FYI to those folks here in the LPR (legal/lawful permanent residents) or border community audience ,Prometric does NOT accept, I-551 (green cards) and they do not accept the new U.S Passport cards beause they lack signatures.

Same story in Miami, the guy working at the front desk looked at me like I had three heads when I tried to give him my debit card with my driver's license (as i did for the first two exams) yesterday. My guess is that they realized that fingerprint and photo recognition are sufficient in addition to a driver's license.

Prometric seems to have changed for me this time too. The 1st 3 sections were like entering CIA headquarters with the last time the person stared at me & my drivers license, then me & my passport, then back to the DL for a good minute, This time just looked at it the license & handed it back to me & when I offered the passport said it wasn't needed. Took me a good 20 minutes the 1st 3 times to get to sit in fron of the computer but this time was maybe 5.

I tested all 4 times at the same center and they never asked me for more than my D/L. I did not insist. And the fingerprint too.
