I just checked prometric and saw dates available for testing on first week of March.

Is this possible on a non-testing month? Have anyone ever seen a case like this??

If so, which window will it be included in? Jan-Feb or April-May? Will the score be released with the Jan-Feb window or April-May window? Will the test sets change to the new window or will it stay the same as Jan-Feb window?

Sorry for the rush of questions. I am curious to know if I can actually schedule those dates or if it’s just a technical error.

    Thanks in advance!

I hope that's not the case because I already moved my test. You'd think they wouldn't just open it up anyone if you needed proof. If that was the case, I'd think you would have to call them directly or something.

Exactly, I would not think that the dates would be available to choose from other than the fact that they are eligible dates. I have already moved mine as well so hope that is not the case.

That's what I thought. I rescheduled mine last night and just wanted to confirm it this morning. That was what Prometric told me and she told me to reschedule. I will wait to call NASBA tomorrow to confirm the dates available in March (they are closed today for President's Day).

I called the Prometric Testing Center also and the guy told me that they had not received any information from NASBA so he was not sure. So I am really hoping that was the same situation at your testing center. And the the open dates were correct and available to everyone.

I got it from NASBA directly that these were intentionally opened to cater to the people who were affected by the storms. They had to open it nationwide, though. If you can schedule your exam (up to March 8 I think), then your exam is valid.

Again – the intent was to help people affected by the storms and not cause a flurry of reschedules, but if the date is open, your exam will be valid.

    Thanks Jeff!

Prometric just called and the lady told me that she marked it on my profile that if any candidates who were affected by the bad weather want my appointment in March, they have the right to cancel and reschedule my appointment. Can they even do that?

    Thanks again!

That's strange…I am not sure if they can do that…this is a new ordeal completely.

Hopefully you won't encounter any issues.

Hopefully there won't be any issues. That would be the last thing I want deal with before my exam. Sorry for rambling on and on about the date. I am just feeling uneasy with the note the lady put on my Prometric profile. This is definitely a strange experience. Like Jeff metioned, this is supposed to help those who were affected. But it ended up creating more confusion. I don't know if I should talk to someone else at Prometric or just leave it the way it is now.

I am trusting Jeff more than the Prometric people. An appt is an appt. We have schedule for March. I live in a city where the weather was bad, and the centers were closed. I do feel like there should have been a message on the NASBA, Prometric, or AICPA website. But all is well.

Thanks, Jeff. I fell alot better.

I, too, am trusting Jeff. I have never posted anything before, but the thought that there is a possibility of someone canceling my appointment bothers me, ALOT! Hopefully, that will not happen.

This is word for word what I was told:

“Tell them we opened the scheduler to reschedule candidates impacted by the storms last week. If they got in, their appointment is valid.”

Obviously, I have no control over anything…just passing on what I was told in order to quell the confusion.

I will also add that it is wise to follow up with your local Prometric center with a phone call to confirm your March exam if you scheduled in March just to avoid questions/anxiety.

Thanks Jeff ! I appreciate your helpful information!

P.S. To clarify, the confusion was actually from the Prometric Customer Service Rep(s) who is/are not well informed.

I just called someone at NASBA. I asked if I could schedule my exam for the first week of march, and they told me that only the people who were affected by the weather are the only ones who can schedule for that week. Is that true? Or anyone can schedule?
