AnonymousInactiveYou can take your ethics exam at any time. Jeff has a link to it, or you can log on to your state's society cpa website and they should have it there for you to purchase.
n
The CPA application should be on the website also.n

AnonymousInactiveFirst off, congratulations on passing the CPA exam. It is a big deal and you are probably still excited over it.
n
After getting your final score the first step is to pick yourself up off the floor and check the score again. After you finish running down the street while screaming and yelling for joy you should go back home. Just kidding.
n
After passing my final section I had to apply for my license. This included filling out a bunch of paperwork that the Texas state board sent (I cheated and downloaded all of it long before they mailed it). After sending it in and they processed it I received another package of forms to fill out. This included my work experience and ethics exam. As part of this paperwork I also had to take a three hour ethics course. I just found a place online that had the Texas ethics course and banged it out one afternoon. After printing my certificate of completion and doing the ethics exam included in my paperwork I mailed the whole set to them. A couple of weeks later I received a letter stating I was fully approved and gave me a license number.
n
The whole process took about 60-70 days from the time I received my final score. Most of this time was waiting on the state board and the postal service. It would have been longer had I waited on the forms to come in the mail versus going online and gotten the forms myself.n

polarbearParticipantDoes anyone know how many times you have to pass the ethics exam? Can you only take it once, and have to get a 90 percent or better?n

AnonymousInactiveshed5197-First what state are you from? Not all states require an ethics exam and the ones that do does not all use the same exam. Need to check your state requirements for the specifics. I am from Indiana which does not require an ethics exam and it took only 11 days from the day I mailed my application to get my license issued. However, Indiana is cheap, all we get is an email with your certificate number nothing else. Everything else cost. Indiana issue no certificate, nothing.

AnonymousInactiveMy personal experience for the Colorado State Board is you can download from the website and mail in your application together with all the experience form.It takes approximately 6-8 weeks to get your license.Hope it helps , but it depends upon the State.n

AnonymousInactivePolarbear- You have 3 tries online If you don't get a 90 after 3 tries you can fill out the answer sheet and mail that in. I would think it would be almost impossible not to get a 90 after 3 tries…n

SusanParticipantI know it has been a while since this thread was posted on, but I'm looking for an answer that I can't find.

I'm in AL, and I have passed all parts of the CPA exam. I can't apply for my license yet because I don't have the experience, but I was under the impression that I would still receive some kind of certificate that I had passed all the exams…. does anyone know anything about this?? I keep finding the answer “apply for your license” which doesn't help someone who is having trouble finding a job.n
