    Hi Jeff,

I want to sit for FAR and AUD in April and REG in the later window (July). I wanted to know if I can register for all these sections together since the NTS is valid for 6 months or will my NTS expire after the April window because I also read somewhere that NTS is valid for the current testing window or 6 months whichever comes first. I am registered with NH.

    Thanks

No, the NTS is good for six months. You can buy one on December 15, skip the Jan/Feb window, and than sit in April or May just fine.

TheCPA, make sure to confirm with your state as some states are different. I am in Utah and our NTS's are actually valid for 9 months not the 6 months that most other states are.

    Most recent scores
    BEC-80, FAR-79
    REG-73 - 2/19/2011
    AUD-74 - April 2011

TheCPA – Here is the link for your state on your NTS.

    https://www.nasba.org/nasbaweb/NASBAWeb.nsf/wpecsi?openform&stateabbrev=NH&infotype=nts

It states: The NTS is valid for one testing event or six (6) months whichever is first exhausted for each examination section. The NTS includes the date that the NTS expires.

The answer is yes you can register for all of the exams. But you will need to take all of them within the time frame specified. Unless you have a solid plan, it might be better to just do two and if you cannot fit them into the current test window you will have the next window as a back up plan.

    Good Luck.

    Hi Jeff,

It is my understanding that the exam is being offered in March. I have to sit for FAR in this window (which was originally Jan-Feb) and pass, as I lose REG 3/31. If I were to move my FAR exam back until say March 4th, will I still retain credit for REG if I sit for the exam March 4th and successfully pass? Your prompt response is greatly appreciated, as I'm scheduled to take it this Thursday and would love another week.

    Thanks!

Yes – as long as you sit prior to your expiration date, you're ok. They said that the March exam dates are still Jan/Feb so you should be ok.

Again, this is just my opinion…do what you think is best.

    Short answer…. Yes

As long as you SIT before a section expires, your ok. You can get the score 6 months later and it wouldn't matter as long as you took the exam before something expired.

    Hi

Can I take my FARE paper in April-May window with new NTS if my old NTS is valid till 07-April10. I am not interested in taking FARE test in my current NTS period and want some time to study. (i've not schedule the appointment yet)

Is it permissible or it will be treated like giving same exam twice, in same testing window?

    Need Advice!!!

    Thanks
