Hello everyone! I just took my last part of my CPA exam(BEC). Hopefully I can pass this time successfully. I have a question regarding the 150 total credits requirement for CPA licensing in California. The requirement to take a CPA exam is 120 units but it will need 150 total units to get a CPA license in California. I left from university about 7 years ago and I actually have more than 120 units when I graduated. But I’m not quite sure how many units can be used to cover the other 30 units requirement for licensing. Does anyone know how to evaluate the transcript and figure out how many more units I need to take to fulfill the requirement for CPA license? What should I do if I need more unit? Can I just take some classes from college to cover it or I have to go to apply for another bachelor or a master degree? Thank you for your help!

Good luck on BEC. I hated that exam.

You can use these worksheets to evaluate your education and see how it goes. CalCPA has a page https://www.calcpa.org/cpa-career-center/cpa-requirements

That links to CA Board’s website and resources:
