If anyone wants to hear my horror story…here goes.
I applied in 2010; sent ALL my transcripts from 25+ years and SIX universities. That took enough time in and of itself, just tracking down where I had taken classes all those years ago. A lot can and does change in 25 years, so many of my classes no longer had the same course number, description and were not listed in current catalogs.
I made a spreadsheet of what I thought I had and crossed my fingers. It came back denied for a couple of credits. Not to worry, I took another class and sent it again. Hurray, I was accepted! No, wait, I was UNaccepted a week later. Seems that one of the examiners decided not to accept some courses that they had previously accepted. Darn. Back to school.
Applied again in 2012. Hurray, accepted! Darn, unaccepted AGAIN. They couldn't find some of my courses. I mailed away for archive copies of all my original course catalogs, highlighted, underlined, armed for bear, and sent them in again, and took another class for good measure. Finally, in 2013, I was green-lighted for real this time. Don't get me started on the whole exam application process. Suffice it to say, it was an experience, but here I am đŸ™‚
They will not shut the door on me!
I was fortunate that everyone I spoke with at the CA Board was very understanding and patient with my issues and were able to help me through it.
Best wishes everyone for a smooth process!
