Can anyone tell me how different the 2009 vs 2010 text and software really is (Becker, Bisk, Yaeger, etc, doesn’t matter)?

I can purchase the 2009 materials at a much lower rate (obviously) and just want to know if I’d be totally screwed or if there is really that much new material in 2010.

    Thanks

I *do* think that you can study with quality 2009 materials and be ok. Would I do it? probably not.

For $345 you can get Yaeger's 2010 HomeStudy…book…software…everything. Not sure if it's worth going the cheap route and buying some used product.

Where is the HomeStudy for $345?? I thought with the another71 discount it was still close to $1000?

    For one section, I meant.

If you are looking to buy a complete couse, it's $1,195 with the A71FULL coupon code and $1,095 as a Club 75 member.

If your budget is tight, maybe doing it once section at a time and getting new materials is the better plan vs buying an old, but complete set.

The Becker 2010 lectures use the exact same video as the 2009. The flash cards are the same as well.

Overall I would say you are ok using 2009 for 2010. The only change that I've come across that would make a difference is in REG relating to casualty loss. The base amount that comes off the top has been $100 for ages (decades?) but just changed to $500 in 2010. Everything else was just indexed amounts changing really.

I noticed a few differences in reg in terms of limits and whatnot for taxes but its probably not a big deal…i intend on using 09 for my 2010 reg test and aud test as well. Becker has updates and error correction for their materials so maybe you can find an update somewhere idk just a thought.
