AnonymousInactiveHi Everyone – I don't think I read someone in the forum who used Bisk (except for one in AUD). Bisk is good, at least for me.

ihatestudyingParticipant@carlos…thanks…i just looked up bisk..doesnt seem like they have an overall cram course..i will look again.
does anyone think the ninja audio would help, or is it the same as the notes just in audio format ? (i already have the ninja notes)

ALSO..to expand on my question above….. how does the audio come? a cd, or a file i can put on my iphone? if it would be a good review and help me learn this material i will consider it….going on a cruise in a week for my anniversary…i could listen to a little bit while at the pool sipping on a cocktail..(if my wife allows it) lol

AnonymousInactive@ihatestudying If I'm reading you right you are thinking of doing a CRAM course instead of a full course? And you haven't tested FAR before?
I don't want to discourage you, but I think you'll find that could end up being a mistake. Not trying to be critical (only helpful I promise) why do you think you can't do an entire course in 11 weeks (minus the 8 days you mentioned above.) So you might have 10 weeks x 20 hrs = 200 hours. Really, really don't cut corners on this one.
Overall, I have heard of people only using Wiley resources and passing and others who use several courses and not passing. I would encourage you not to underestimate FAR. Whichever study strategy helps you learn this stuff frontwards and backwards is what you should do.

nolifecpaParticipantthe ninja audio comes in a file that you can put on your iphone, some burn it on a cd. i luv it cause i can listen to it on my commute to and from work (hour each way). listening and driving is a lot easier than reading and driving…lol!
i don't have the ninja notes but i think its similar to the notes with added examples

ihatestudyingParticipantthanks nolife…i might try it..
@bluegirl……only reason i say i might not have time for the complete course is because i already purchased exammatrix which i used on last 3 and passed with it. so i want to give it a chance and do the complete exammatrix program….but in my head im doubting myself, and im not sure if the exammatrix system alone will be enough since im pretty weak in this section…..so i was trying to figure out if i can do this whole program and supplement with some lectures.. i definitely wont have enough time to do a whole yeager (or similar) review course, plus the exammatrix review course…
i dont know..i guess i should continue with what im doing and see if its starts to come together for me.
thanks for the advice…any advice or constructive criticism is always welcome..i could use all the help i can get 🙂

AnonymousInactive@ihatestudying In that case I would do your entire exammatrix course if that is what is working for you. And then do lots of MCP's. Repetition can really drill it home. For your money, doing the Wiley test bank and maybe supplement with Ninja notes would be a good option. I got the Wiley app on my tablet for $60 and I can use it anywhere. (It might be a good option for pool side along with pdf's of ninja notes.)
The key is to be exposed to every concept several times. There's a lot of material and only “touching” it once or twice doesn't seem to be enough for me. I truly believe that its not really the course that matters, its the time you put into it.

stokey45ParticipantCount me in! I need to take FAR by the end of Oct beginning of Nov and then finish REG before the end of the year or I loose BEC. I have been studying FAR for about a month now and it is going very slow. I have taken exams before I knew I was ready and it doesn't pan out for me. I am feeling very pressured to take this one as soon as I can so that I can retake REG which I lost as well. It has been 3 years for me and I am ready to be done. I work full time and have a family (as so many others) as well and sometimes it is very difficult to study. In June I started using a similar plan that Jeff lays out and it worked for AUD. I study for 1 hour before work and study 2 hours and 45 minutes after work at the library. When it is slow at work I take vacation time (a day here and there) and study during the day. I try to give it as much time as I can. I hope it pays off for all of us. Well, back to my notes!

AnonymousInactivehow are you guys approaching review for the exam?
Im going to have a solid 23-25 days of pure review. I went through the material WAY faster than I thought and I dont feel like rescheduling for a fee.
I am definitely going to do all the becker MCQ and sims like 2-3x per chapter. Probably wont look at the lectures at all, what do you all do for book/notes? Just re-read them or forget it in favor of MCQ?

proach33MemberSo i am on lecture 8 out of 10 in becker and plan to finish all 10 by Saturday and that will give me 2 weeks to review. I am going to go through all the mc and sims and do the notecards. From people that have taken this before is there anything that is really really important (yes i know you can't really tell me everything). Any hints would be great.
