Hey everyone, so I am taking the exam May 21 and I have about 9-10 days left to study.

I used Yaeger and this is basically how I studied:

I started March 21 and there are a total of 40 videos

I watched one video a day and after I finished all the videos for the module, I would spend an extra day reviewing my notes, the Wiley book on everything they went over, I would make my own flash cards, I would do all the recommended and additional MCQ and Sims they assigned, read the NINJA Notes, and do the NINJA flash cards.

Now it’s May 10, and I have 10 days to kill it. How should I go about tackling this week?

My plan was to start with Module 9 and re-read the notes I have taken, the wiley book, do all the MCQ’s over again, and then do the Wiley Testbank problems and read all the NINJA notes.

    Anyone have any other ideas?

    Thanks!

Redo as many MCQs and Sims as humanly possible – then do 10 more

I used Becker to pass my exam but what I would suggest to you is first make sure you undrestand the areas that are giving you the most problems, there is no point focusing on things you understand well. With this I will also say that with every exam section I identifed one subject that was the most diffcult for me to understand and I would make sure the night and day before the exam I had that one subject cramed fresh in my brain for FAR it was cash flows (Gave me extra confidence going into the test and I was able to smile big when a question on that subject would come up).

In between those two things just realize now you are in crunch mode, don't waste time re-reading things you understand well – what is the point? do as many questions from as many modules as you can, with Becker towards the end I was hitting 150 to 300 questions a day and really reading to understand why I would get things wrong. Then I would work the heck out of the SIMS, but I think Becker has less than Wiley.

Best advise I got for FAR – READ THE LAST SENTENCE OF EVERY QUESTION FIRST, this makes you understand what you are truely looking for and saves alot of time.

    Hope this helps

You plan seems sufficient. I wrote this earlier here https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/3rd-attempt-on-aud-531#post-325418 You can substitute or include the flashcards for #1:

Final week or 3-4 days before the exam:

    1. Read the mnemonics, formulas, & passkeys from the textbook for all or half of the chapters every day; focusing more on what you're weaker. Maybe look at the examples too if you have time.

    2. Do ~50 random mcqs per day. Maybe less or none at all.

    passed
