i live in clarksville tennessee and just finished here at the prometric center. It was my first try and first time to ever sit. I feel like i did ok on the mcqs but just hit a wall on the sims. They were not hard just so much to do in such little time. I wasted too much time chasing down the research (mistake) and ended up stuffing numbers where i could as i zipped through the sims. Someone please give me hope doing ok on mcq will be enough. The test really wasnt that bad…

I've sat a number of times for various exams and each time the percentage of calc vs. theory has changed….no consistency in this area.

Great help guys. One more question I just thought of…

I'm not a fan of rewriting my notes before the week before the FAR exam as recommended by many people because my notes are 200 pages long in Microsoft Word, it wouldn't make sense. I might read the notes in the last week though. So my question is, what technique do you guys use to review all your Modules so that it's fresh in your mind for test day?

For example, do you do a sample of 20 MCQ's per every Module & work your way through to the last Module? Or do you guys only work on the MCQ's that gave you problems in the past that were considered difficult? Thanks!

Notes just seem to hang me up and my mind drifts. Working questions from each module is a good review.

@AnythingGoes75, I do the 10-20 MCQ per module 2 days before my exam. Then the day before my exam I read my notes + ninja notes, and try to relax a bit. I used to do MCQ the day before the exam, but noticed it didn't benefit me at all—it would make me upset & I'd start to freak out if I got questions wrong 24 hours before the exam..lol. So two days before the exam doing small quizzes in all the modules has worked for me, that way if I get something wrong I write the topic down and make sure to read about it the next day.

The first time I took FAR, it was completly different than the becker review material. So pissed. Im taking another stab at it towards the end of the month. Im so tierd of taking these exams over and over. Its worst now that Im now working at a big 4 where theres no time to study. I need the encouragement and the motivation. just so frustrated right now.

    AUD 77

    BEC 76

    FAR Failed

    REG Failed
