FAR – trying not to break down - Page 4

I am scoring very badly on my MCQs, what do I do? I feel worse going into this retake. I am at my wits end and I cannot take reading these FAR questions. They are so long and tricky. My head hurts and I want to be done. I really am trying here guys but I need another strategy. Nothing is working and I am running out of time. I am not being dramatic, I wouldn’t ask if I really didn’t feel like I may fail. I can’t push back or reschedule so I have 2 weeks to figure something out.

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!

Tee-Tee, do what you have to do…it is easy to get overwhelmed but your health is more important. I know what you mean though, I DO NOT FEEL READY!!! My advantage and may be disadvantage as well is my test dates are full, so I have to wait until after tax season. This gives me an additional 2 weeks so I am going to finish tax season and go mcq non stop. It's ok to step back but don't disappear….lol

Hey good luck…..you can do this :-))

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader.....time to pass

I'm sure you know it's not unusual to feel underprepared occasionally at any point in preparing for the exam – even two weeks before or the day of! But the fact is that you've passed three of these things already and came very close to joining the 300 club. You know what it takes to beat these things and you know what kind of preparation works for you. I'm sure you're more prepared than you are giving yourself credit for.

You're in the home stretch. Cram for another two weeks and take your life back!

You kind of asked for this, even if not in so many words, but it's time for the Ragin' Cajun to take the lid off of the box…

HOW DAMN BAD DO YOU WANT YOUR LIFE BACK? Because if you want it back, get ready to punch the bully in the gut and TAKE IT BACK! You know a lot more than you think you know. This test gets inside your head and beats the hell out of your confidence and self esteem. It's time to fight back. Hold your head up. Find your feet and your voice. Stand up and tell FAR that is this it's final warning. You have faith, that's obvious from your signature. What you need is faith in YOURSELF. If you can't find it, then I'll find it for you! Because I have faith that you are about to be a CPA! Forget calm! Forget complacent! It's time to get ANGRY! This exam has convinced you that you are a number, a statistic, a percentage of correct answers. I'm here to tell you that you are none of those things! You are better than any score!!! Those scores in your signature are bringing you down. The longer you look at them, the more control they have over you. You are not a number!! You have two weeks until you get your life back, use that time to work problems. If you get one wrong, don't just read the answer and move on. Google it! Dig in the book and find the answer. You won't forget it during the exam if you do that. YOU CAN AND WILL BE WHAT YOU SET OUT TO BE! If I have to harass you until you have those three letters after your name, then so be it. Get ready to be harassed!

Ragin' Cajun is back in the box and the lid is securely fastened…

Just do your part now and ask God to hold your hand during the exam. If you do that, then I predict a 78. I'm usually low, but I hit Baxter's score perfectly.

I'm sure it's been said before but you should consider motivational speaking. I think you would be awesome!

If I could pass FAR twice (76 & 85) then I know y'all can pass it. You just have to have faith! This exam is designed to test candidates on more than accounting. It is a test of endurance and determination. Don't let it beat your confidence into a pulp. Allowing that to happen is a fast way to go to a dark, sad place. I've been there. It hurts there. I don't want anyone to go there.

As to my being a motivational speaker… I am available after May. Until then, I'm exclusively Jeff's problem child! But y'all are sweet so go study or I will take the lid off the box again. 😉
