@Chandler ok the way you explained it makes so much more sense. The explanation they gave was really obnoxious. Thank you!

When are you taking your exam? I took it June 7, 2018. I'm expecting to re-take it, penciling in July 10, 2018 (come on score release!)
What exam topic keeps you awake at night? Business Combinations, Taxes, Derivatives.
One study or career tip others might find helpful. Major in a career that will get you a job, Minor in something you care about or find valuable. Don't get into a relationship because you're lonely (headaches saved from studying).

When are you taking your exam? I took FAR last testing window (May) and awaiting to hear the results. I am still continuing to study for FAR, so hoping to retake it next testing window (July or August) depending on the results of my last exam.

What exam topic keeps you awake at night? Business combinations/consolidations for sure.

One study or career tip others might find helpful. When I'm studying, it always helps if I can actually explain it to someone else. Even when I feel super confident that I know a topic or concept, as soon as I find myself stumbling upon what to say or how to explain it to someone else, it becomes crystal clear how much I know/don't know.

    Best of luck to everyone!

I'm studying for the FAR, planning on taking it in August, 2018. I think it's all the formulas that are stressing me out so far, I know I just need to practice them continuously, but I mix them up and I think they are just something I need to get over. Career Tip: Show up to work on time, put your cell phone away and learn as much as you can. I promise you this will help you immensely (and you wont irritate your other co-workers so bad).

I graduated in 2014 and took the REG that summer, but missed it by 5 points. Fast forward 4 years later, I still haven't passed, but haven't really tried…I study pretty good for a month or two, then get busy and then next thing I know I haven't studied for 3 weeks. I feel like I have to start studying all over again. SO FRUSTRATED with myself. I frequently ask myself how people do it? I work just as many hours as everyone else (about 50 a week, 45 in the summer) and have a family (was 4 kids at home, now down to 3 until the fall then only 2 left). I have been working for my firm for 13 years, spending the first 8 years at the front desk and working my way into audits, taxes and pensions, so I have a lot of experience, just missing my ticket ๐Ÿ™ . So hoping connecting with this group will help encourage me and keep me on track. I would really like to pass at least one test before my audit season gets heavy again.

What exam topic keeps you awake at night? pensions
One study or career tip others might find helpful. I like to flip around to different types of study material if I get tired of one thing, so I can try to study longer. If reading is becoming too boring, Iโ€™ll switch to notecards or multiple choice.
