I think I read somewhere that the first 1-20 days in the testing window the scores come out 11 BUSINESS DAYS after the 20th day. 21-46 in the twesting window come out 6 business days after the 46th day. and the 47th-Last day in the window come out 6 business days after the last day in the window. SO as long as you take it on or before January 20th, you are looking at getting a score on or around Feb 8th-9th.

Asp Co. was organized on January 2, 20X1, with 30,000 authorized shares of $10 par common stock. During 20X1 the corporation had the following capital transactions:

January 5 – issued 20,000 shares at $15 per share.

July 14 – purchased 5,000 shares at $17 per share.

December 27 – reissued the 5,000 shares held in treasury

    at $20 per share.

Asp used the par value method to record the purchase and re-issuance of the treasury shares. In its December 31, 20X1, balance sheet, what amount should Asp report as additional paid-in capital in excess of par?

    Anyone?

Does anyone else feel that it takes forever to complete a small set of questions due to the amount of information required? I'm worried I won't be able to complete all of the questions before it comes time for my final week of study.

I took my FAR on 11/23/14. The results were supposed to be in on 12/9 in California. When I check mine online it says,

“•This jurisdiction does not support online score reporting at this time.

    Candidate Online Advisory Score

Online scores are not available for all states. We do not receive all scores at once. If you do not see your score online, we have not yet received your information. The site is updated as scores are received. All fields with * are required.

NOTE: You must wait at least 48 hours before registering to retake any sections of the examination you did not pass.”

Did everybody else get there scores? How should I proceed?

@dunkin im in the same boat. taking notes for me keep the information fresh. im hoping its enough for a pass. if more than that is a bonus. it can be done. you're half way there. just keep the “ELL” jeff's ninja method.

@Gian I think that JE is for the cost method and not par value method but I could be wrong. Are you sure about the JE?

@salring im sure of it. I used the par value of common stock for a debit and credit of TS. others are plug. I might be wrong. what is your entry then. may you please share? 😉

@yawampofoh1 what is the correct answer and the entry?

    thanks guys! happy holidays!

This is a great forum! I am joining this FAR group with an anticipated test date of 2/9 (not scheduled yet). This will be my first attempt at FAR. I attempted the AUD test twice in 2009, failing miserably and hopping back on the right path again for 2015. My goal is to have my CPA license by the end of 2015! Any others out there only using the NINJA 10 point combos for study materials?

@Gian you are right, I was getting confused on the DR to RE, there is no previously recorded gain so yes your entry is correct,
