@Eliabraham – I mean, when doing a transaction remeasurement, when would a marketable security be monetary and remeasured at a current rate and when would it be nonmonetary and be remeasured at a historical rate.

    BEC 85
    AUD 99
    REG 88
    FAR 93

@iwantmylifeback Are you referring to foreign exchange remeasurement on the balance sheet? Monetary items are restated using the current rate and Non-monetary items are restated at the historical rate.

    FAR- PASSED (11/13)
    REG- PASSED (2/14)
    BEC- PASSED (5/14)
    AUD- PASSED (8/14)

If it's important to you, you will find a way. If it isn't, you will find an excuse.

Without disclosing exam content, I just wanted to tell everyone that I had a simulation on my last FAR exam that wasn't by nature hard, but if you hadn't studied it (which I hadn't), you'd be lost on how to go about correctly answering the pieces.

Well I found, basically, a step-by-step example in the authoritative literature. Anyone else experience something like this??? It felt like I was straight-up cheating! I went from probably 0 points on that simulation to 100% because I took it to the AL. They say you need to scour the AL in the AUD exam, but I definitely found it useful in FAR too!

    REG - 65, 70, 80!
    BEC - 35, 62, 79!
    AUD - 73, 75!
    FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.

@nbad311 – I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to (and I'm definitely not asking!) but I will say that there are examples of the financial statements (e.g., statement of cash flows, etc.) in the AL and I definitely plan on using them if I need to and if time permits. I believe it's the “55” sections under the topics that give examples. For anyone using Becker the “55” section is often missing from what we can search for the practice sims but if you look in the actual FASB code you will see what I mean.

I'm sorry, but I came to work today and discussed my exam with some of my co-workers. What exactly is the difference between a medium and hard question? I see similar questions that I saw on the exam rated hard by the AICPA, but ony 1-2 sentences or a brief paragraph.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.
