    @NYC

    Seriously? I feel like the test bank questions are relatively easy/moderately-difficult but nothing that screams out “I will fail if these questions pop up on the exam.”

    If that's the case, I guess it's good for us then?

    To be honest, I'm more worried about the SIMs. I have a decent grasp on J/Es but there's no knowing what panic and nerves can do to my memory.

    And the research questions…I remember someone saying they're like the devil himself…LOL.

    BEC (July 2013)
    FAR (OCT 2013)
    REG (NOV 2013)
    AUD (JAN 2014)

    The CPA Exam is an opponent that not even the Fellowship of the Ring would want to come across.

    I have a long...long...journey ahead of me.

    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
    AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

    Everyone using Becker – do you know about the OUTLINES on the site now? Go into each chapter and click on the “outlines” link in the right corner by the e-book link.

    I feel like a moron – does everyone else already know about these??? Someone in another thread said they showed up in August.

    @NYC

    I worked for a year and saved up for Becker. Then I quit, LOL. Because my superiors didn't approve of me pursuing my CPA.

    I know people who felt prepared and passed with flying colors who used Wiley so I think it might just come down to teaching preferences as well.

    @DJN

    Yeah I saw those outlines a few weeks back. Good to know that I can use them because, seriously, with FAR I feel like I've forgotten the details of the earlier chapters and can only remember things from F6 onwards (for the most part).

    @ZSRISVI, It's strange that you superior did not approve for the CPA 🙁 . I wonder what made them to do that. Anyway I felt the same when i prepared for the rest of the parts. I felt I forgotten all the stuff i studied but I did ok on the exams. You should be fine. You can not be fully prepared that's what I think coz so much to know.

    Thx

    Pension accounting – I know the 15 year rule for amortizing net transition asset/obligation, but isn't there a 20 year rule on somehting too?

    @DJN The 20 years period applies to Postretirement Benefit Obligation whereas the greater of 15 years or the average employee job life applies to pension. In addition, for Postretirement there is an option to expense all the transition obligation in one year as a change in accounting principle.

    Hope it helps.
