@SJKirk – like you said, nobody knows for sure, but I don't think it matters how you enter the JE as long as the debits and credits are correct, both account and amount. I've also heard that you get partial credit if you have the right account, but wrong amount and vice versa. Hope this helps!

I hope everyone is doing great. I just have a quick question about governmental and not for profit. I have some good cds that just focus on these two topics, but they are a bit outdated. I used them when I first passed FAR 5 years ago. Do you guys know if there has been any big changes in Governmental and Not for profit in five years? I couldnt find anything on google.

    Thanks in advance,

@NYC @ZSR Thanks for the response.

For those of you who failed FAR with 60 something score, (I failed with 64) how early did you take the exam? I didn't study for 3 weeks in a row until I found out the score. Reapplication was sent and received by the CA board. I still need to pay for the exam and NTS. I am using becker 2011 and wiley test bank. So far passed REG and three more to go. Do you think 3-4 weeks of studying is enough for FAR re-take?

    FAR: 63, 74, 80 Hallelujah!
    BEC: 72, 70, 80 Thank you Jesus!
    REG: 74, 75(lost credit), 72, Aug/2015
    AUD: Oct/2015

@ SJKirk I wondered the same thing as well. I have the ninja notes and they record the lease receivable for capital leases net of the interest portion, but wiley records the lease at gross and shows the interest portion as a credit. Both entries are correct though, because they both show the carrying value of the lease receivable at the correct amount. I like to compound entries as well and I hope i'm not penalized for it. The answer would be correct, but your marking it wrong for how I chose to present it? I hope they are not that picky, but this will my first time ever taking any of the exams, so maybe they are.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

@kels417 – sorry, I didn't realize you had already been through the exam twice with Becker. In that case I would definitely focus on material other than Becker. You may not get a ton on NEW info from Wiley or Gleim but just seeing stuff in a *different* way can be a huge learning tool (for me, anyway).

@DJN – no problem! For some reason my old signature isn't showing up anymore that said how many times I've taken each exam and what study material I'm using. Jeff must have decided to get rid of that.

My review/study process for reg was to reread each Becker chapter, redo all Becker questions, and then supplement gleim questions and do all simulations. It seemed to work well, so I was planning on doing the same for FAR. I received a 72 on my first attempt and a 66 on my second (bummer). I agree that seeing a question asked in a different way is helpful, which is part of the reason I invested in WTB as well. I would hope between the 3 programs that I'm using, I can squeak out a 75! Thanks for all the info! Best of luck with your studying.

The hardest sim I've had to do in Wiley is the business combination SIM by far! Took me 47 minutes to complete, but I got the whole thing correct. I bet the sims will look like this on the exam unfortunately. Anybody has a solution to do business combinations quickly? There were about 100 boxes to fill out!.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

Everything was going okay with my FAR studying until I hit F5 in Becker – Long-term Liabilities and Bonds Payable! I feel like I just walked into another country and all I can hear is a foreign language.

Makes the hardest section in REG seem like a walk in the park. Waaaaaaah!
